In the early hours of Tuesday morning we were called to a fire alarm sounding at a flat in Fleet, thankfully this was a false alarm.
Shortly after 1700 we were sent to reports of a car fire in Wrecclesham, Farnham - this was caused by an overheated engine.
Finally, at around 2200 we were called to a car fire that was effecting a property in Farnborough along with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, thankfully and luckily no injures. Four Breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire and check for smoke spread.
Fleet Fire Station
This is the official Facebook account of Fleet Fire Station. Our aim is to engage with the public and give up-to-date information about what we're doing.
Yesterday around 18:20pm we were deployed alongside several neighboring services to tackle a major industrial fire at the Daler-Rowney headquarters on Peacock Lane in Bracknell.
Because the site is a major art manufacturing and paper factory, multiple chemicals are believed to be involved, causing significant smoke and flames.Thankfully, no one is believed to have been inside the building when the fire broke out. Crews from Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire, and Northamptonshire worked hard together to bring the blaze under control.
This evening we were called to a house fire in Fleet, along with crews from Rushmoor Fire station.
Upon arrival smoke was issuing from an upstairs window, four firefighters in Breathing Apparatus were committed to extinguish the fire, sadly the fire destroyed the bedroom. The first crew arrived within 7 minutes of being alerted.
Everyone was out of the house and thankfully no injuries. A working smoke alarm alerted the residents who called us out. Working smoke alarms saves lives.

Today Duck Norris has been at a, very deep seated, woods fire near Hartley Wintney.
Crews have been there since almost 0800 in the morning. These fires take lots of resources and their locations are difficult to access.
If you’re out taking a walk in our beautiful countryside please have what3words downloaded as this helps us find the location and our local knowledge helps find the best access points.
Have a great bank holiday weekend!

Today Duck Norris has been in attendance at a large fire in the open in Fleet.
At its height there was 9 fire engines and two water carriersin attendance. This has caused significant damage to the woodland (as you can see from the picture)
Over the last few days we have been to two Road Traffic Collisions, reports of a fire in the open but turned out to be a bonfire in someone’s garden and a car fire on Beacon Hill.

After over 22 years Watch Manager Kevin Griffiths has left Fleet Fire Station and the Fire Service.
He has been instrumental in the change of how we deal with incidents with more compassion and more focus. The job as an on call firefighter in your local community means having to leave at the drop of a hat, this means the families of the crews are left to sort out life, like bath time for the kids or half a pot of paint being left open.
We don't just lose a Watch Manager, we lose a leader who has compassion and empathy, he is a friend to all of us and we will miss him on the fire ground and around the station. No matter what he has been there for all of us at some point over his time at the station, for some us more at points than others.
Thank you and we will miss you!

A massive shoutout to all the incredible runners currently out on the course supporting Fire Fighters Charity. We know those legs are starting to feel it, but you’ve got this! Every mile you run helps provide essential mental and physical health support for the UK’s fire services.
To the volunteer marshals: You guys are absolute stars. We see you out there at every junction, keeping everyone safe, handing out water, and providing the cheers that keep people moving. Your time and energy make this whole day possible.
If you’re out on the route, give our runners and volunteers a massive cheer! 📣

Last night we were called to a camp fire by Trunk Road in Farnborough, this was extinguished using one hose reel, while there we cleared away most of the rubbish that had been left for our wildlife to ‘enjoy’.
We were also called to reports of a lorry on fire but thankfully this was a false alarm.

Yesterday afternoon we were called to a tree on fire in Hartley Wintney, we used one hose reel to extinguish it.
Shortly after we were called to a road traffic collision on the M3 by junction 5, a lorry had hit the central reservation and this had caused it to drop it’s load on to to the other carriageway causing the road to be blocked. Thankfully only minor injures were caused.
Later that evening we were called to a camp fire at Fleet pond, two buckets were used to extinguish the fire.
