House Tours and the Gardens are now closed for 2026.

As our season comes to a close we wanted to say how much we have enjoyed welcoming so many lovely visitors to Farringford Estate even on those very hot days at the peak of the summer! Thank you all so much for your continued support and please do keep liking and sharing our posts. Our opening dates for 2027 are coming soon so we can plan for another year.

The gardens will be celebrating 10 years since the first plant went in next year - hard to believe it is so young.

I leave you with this lovely picture of the garden taken by Nicola Stocken in June 2026.

Thank you all for following.

We are a little bit sad to have closed our house tours for the winter but we are busy behind the scenes creating new blogs, maintaining the house and looking forward to welcoming tours again next year. The cottages are bookable all year so you can 'stay a little longer' and the gardens remain open until Saturday 31st October. Please take a look at our latest blog about Franklin. So many interesting people are connected to Farringford and the Tennysons.

Emily Tennyson’s maternal uncle, John Franklin, led the disasterous 1845 expedition to discover the Northwest Passage.
