🎅 As we fast approach this year’s Christmas Light Switch On and Light the Night Lantern Parade, residents have the opportunity to join a series of community workshops and help bring this year’s Alice in Wonderland theme to life✨

Taking place on Friday 27 November, 6pm to 7pm, this year’s parade marks the 10th anniversary of a festive tradition that starts the Christmas season in Frome. The celebrations will also feature festive entertainment and a food court in the Cattle Market Car Park 3pm to 7.30pm🥧🎶

People of all ages are invited to create their own lanterns and become part of the magical procession through the town centre. Inspired by the curious characters and imaginative world of Alice in Wonderland, workshops will guide participants in making themed lanterns 🎂🫖🃏

We’re looking to identify bus stops and bus shelters in Frome affected by graffiti and fly posters, particularly on the glass panels.

Please provide as much information as possible:

* Bus stop name or location – ideally the name displayed on the bus stop flag, timetable or bus shelter.
* Direction of travel – for example, towards Bath or towards Frome.

Photographs and accurate locations will help us identify the affected stops and shelters.

🩵 Frome adopts Avon Bioregional River Charter 💙

Frome Town Councillors have unanimously voted to adopt the Avon Bioregional River Charter at the latest meeting of Frome Town Council. The Charter is part of a growing movement that recognises rivers as living systems, not just resources or landmarks and aims to support the biological health of the river and the area alongside it 🐟🦆

Developed by We Are Avon, a project working to regenerate the Avon catchment area, the University of West of England, and Councillors from the region, the charter has been championed by local groups Friends of the River Frome and Frome Families for the Future 🦫🦦
