Paramedic BSc students and GCU Emergency Care Society members raised over £1450 and covered 1360km (845miles) in just over a month 🥳🤩

Our week 2 winner was Phil who racked up 27km while raising money for TASC The Ambulance Staff Charity

Phil won a copy of Class Professional Publishing Mental Health Care in Paramedic Practice book.

Congratulations to Bri for covering over 50km in week 1 of our TASC The Ambulance Staff Charity fundraiser.

Bri was lucky enough to win a free place on a 16hr Outdoor First Aid course from Wild & Beyond Medical

GCU Emergency Care Society members were invited by Glasgow Wilderness and Extreme Medicine Society to attend an introduction to wilderness medicine course held over the weekend.

There were a number of skills stations, scenarios, a night-time search and rescue exercise, radio and team communications training and even a simulated major incident.

It was also great to see the multidisciplinary teamwork with medical students, nursing students and paramedic students all working together, using their own specialist knowledge to deliver high-quality patient-centred care in an austere environment.

Day 16 in our TASC The Ambulance Staff Charity fundraiser and so far we have:
Raised = £680 💰
Walked/Ran/hiked = over 609km🏃

Day 4 of fundraising for TASC The Ambulance Staff Charity by GCU student Paramedics and GCU Emergency Care Society members so far we have raised……
£413 🤩🤩 and walked or ran 140km as a group!

Day 1 complete for GCU Emergency Care Society members fundraising for TASC The Ambulance Staff Charity with our total sitting at £258 in less than 24hrs 🤩

So far we have covered a total of 34.14km as a team plus some competition on the leader board for those awesome prizes.
