We’ve had a counterfeit Bank of England £20 note handed in at the Post Office today. Please be extra vigilant when accepting cash, especially £20 notes.

If you come across a suspicious note, refuse it and report it where possible. Genuine notes can be checked for:

• Hologram image changing between “Twenty” and “Pounds”
• See-through window with metallic image
• Raised print on the words “Bank of England”

Stay alert and let’s keep our community safe from fraud.

Please note that the Post Office will be closed for the full day on Wednesday 2nd of July due to essential maintenance work being carried out on-site. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
