The costs of separation got very real yesterday.
Almost £3 billion was wiped off the value of firms in Scotland and the pound slumped.
This really matters - it puts jobs at risk and means there is less money to spend on things like our NHS.
The reaction of the markets to one poll suggests the problems we would see if we actually left the UK. It's a risk we just don't have to take.

Alex Salmond has been urged to "wake-up" to the reality of the impact of the uncertainty caused by his plan to break up the UK.
The call comes after it was revealed that Scottish bank TSB has decided to register itself in England rather than Scotland.

Yesterday, the President of the EU Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso said that if Scotland leaves the UK it would have to apply to join the EU, which would be ‘extremely difficult, if not impossible’. To read more, follow the link below.

Pupils at yet another School have backed Scotland’s place in the UK. After hearing arguments from the Nationalist campaign and the Better Together campaign in a debate last week, pupils at St Joseph’s College in Dumfries overwhelmingly rejected separation and backed our place in the UK.
