💗🌸 A cake that holds a very special place in my heart! 🌸💗

This beautiful book-themed cake was one I originally made for my nanny’s 80th birthday when I first started my little business, Mara’s Messy Bakes. 🥹💕

So you can imagine how absolutely over the moon I was to be asked to recreate it again! 🥰 It was so lovely to revisit a design that means so much to me and see how far I’ve come since those early days of baking.

Featuring pretty pastel book spines, delicate gold detailing, elegant ruffles, and a gorgeous arrangement of fresh flowers in shades of pink, red and white, finished with a gold 71st to celebrate a very special birthday. 🌹✨ Happy birthday 🎂

It’s funny how certain cakes stay with you, and this one will always be extra special to me. 💗🎂
