📢Help shape Greenock's future identity

The Greenock Town Board is working to deliver long-term investment and regeneration projects for Greenock through the UK Government's Pride in Place programme.

As part of this work, we're developing a new story, identity and brand for Greenock that reflects what makes our town special today and what we want it to become in the future. We want to create a positive and authentic vision that celebrates Greenock's strengths, builds local pride, and helps attract new opportunities, visitors, residents and investment.

Most importantly, we want this story to be shaped by the people who know Greenock best, our local communities.

🔴What words do you think best describe Greenock?
🔴What makes you proud of the town?
🔴How would you like Greenock to be seen by others in the years ahead?

We'd love to hear your ideas, thoughts and ambitions. Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Greenockonlinesurvey

🗓️Closing date: Monday 26 October 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your views and help shape Greenock's future.

Issued on behalf of the Greenock Town Board by Inverclyde Council.

The Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow sculpture is lit purple this evening to support Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Day.

DLD is a hidden but common lifelong disability that affects 1 in 14 people, causing difficulties with understanding and using spoken language.

Despite its high prevalence, DLD remains largely unknown and because it’s an invisible disability, individuals with DLD are often misunderstood or overlooked — and the impacts are significant.

The 2026 campaign theme is 'Together for DLD', calling for families, professionals and advocates to work side by side to create change.
