PARTNERSHIP WORKING

👍This afternoon, DMBC ASB officers have conducted a joint visit with British Transport Police to an address.

✉️This was to serve a 1st stage warning letter to an individual who has been identified for repeated ASB at Halesowen Bus Station.

⚽The individual was spoken to about their behaviour and offered support in the form of diversionary activities.

🚌Halesowen bus station is a flashpoint for ASB.

📞There are regular reports to DMBC and police about groups of youths causing alarm, harassment, and distress to other members of the public.

đź‘®Unfortunately, there are times when ASB leads to criminal damage.

âś…We will continue to work with our partners to tackle ASB and create safer communities.

Our Halesowen neighbourhood officers have teamed up with the council’s ASB street officers as we work together to crackdown on antisocial behaviour.

With the help of the council’s new drone that can capture footage and be shared with our officers, the team spent a recent afternoon engaging with residents while out on patrol in known hotspot ASB areas.

We know there are concerns around ASB taking place after the school day has finished which is why patrols like this are taking place at different times of the day including from 3pm onwards.

The team engaged with schoolchildren, shoppers, and residents speaking about the partnership working and how the drone can help officers tackle crime.

Joint patrols with Dudley Council’s ASB street officers using the drone will continue as we work together to tackle ongoing ASB issues and concerns reported by residents.

If ASB is an issue in your area, tell us so we can act. You can make a report via our website by clicking here or ringing 101. In an emergency always dial 999.

The team and I have been made aware of some ASB that has been happening, we will be raising this with the neighbourhood police team, if you do spot ASB, please sure you raise this thru 101, then let us know, it helps us push for resources to address it.

Last night, Hayley Green and Cradley South lost one of its hardest working local councillors.

Bex Collins has spent years helping residents with everything from environmental issues and planning concerns to complex personal cases that most people never see behind the scenes. Whether people agreed with her politically or not, nobody could question the amount of work, care, and time she put into the role.

It is frustrating to see a local election increasingly dominated by national slogans and national anger rather than local track records and community work. But that is democracy, and the voters have spoken.

Thank you, Bex, for everything you have done for our community. Public service is often thankless, but the difference you made to many residents absolutely mattered.

Our very own Cllr Bex Collins is up for re-election today. I know personally just how many residents Bex has helped, from streetlights and highways issues right through to complex legal and housing matters.

Bex is a fantastic councillor and a genuine advocate for our part of Halesowen. If we want to continue protecting our historic and beautiful countryside from overdevelopment, then voting for Bex is vital.

Neither Reform nor Labour have put the work into our area, yet today they’re asking for your vote. Don’t risk it.

Vote Bex Collins.
