The Local Network community engagement events will:

• Provide an opportunity for communities, residents, councillors, the voluntary and community sector and partners to engage with the LN Team to identify local issues

• Provide each LN with community feedback to assist with the development of their Local Network Action Plan (LNAP) detailing local issues and how these will be tackled through co-ordinated activity and collaborative working with partners

• Help to deliver positive outcomes for residents
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the events, we will be asking attendees the following questions about their own communities / areas:
• What positive things are happening locally and what do you like about your area?
Weather Warning ‼️ ⛈️ 🌊
An amber warning for wind has been issued for parts of Cumbria and the north-east of England as the region braces itself for Storm Boelo.
Storm Boelo will bring travel disruption over the weekend, with wet and very windy weather across the whole of the UK on Saturday with poor travelling conditions expected due to surface water and spray on faster roads and motorways.
The strongest winds will move into Scotland on Saturday afternoon, reaching a peak overnight.
The Met Office have also issued yellow wind warnings for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England valid on Saturday and lasting most of Sunday.
Ministers launched the ‘Be Ready’ campaign to help families cope if storms or heatwaves knock out power, water, phones, or broadband.
Security Minister Dan Jarvis said:
“..By taking simple steps to be ready for everyday emergencies like severe storms, people can reduce pressure on emergency services, helping them prioritise people who need more support in an emergency."
🌿✨ A little spruce-up at Blackhall Cemetery! ✨🌿
Our busy Estates Manager has been hard at work giving the front entrance, gates and cemetery building at Blackhall Cemetery a fresh new look! 🎨🖌️
In preparation for the colder weather, the doors and shutters have all been sanded and stripped, a lick of paint, along with a general tidy-up to help keep the entrance looking neat and welcoming.
A big thank you to our Estates Manager and his amazing crew for all the hard work and care that goes into keeping our cemetery looking its best!
