Today, we want to give special recognition to three colleagues from our Maintenance Team: Mark Gibson, Ivan Johnson and Owen Verinder.

These guys have gone above and beyond, working around the clock to keep our factories running smoothly, support our teams and ensure our operations continue to run efficiently.

Their dedication, teamwork and commitment make a real difference, not only to our day-to-day operations but also to the service we deliver to our customers.

At Pyroguard, we know that great customer service goes far beyond the people who interact directly with our customers. It’s also about the teams working behind the scenes, often under pressure and outside normal hours, to ensure we can continue delivering on our promises.

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new range of spandrel panels, giving UK architects, façade consultants, contractors and specialist engineers access to a more comprehensive fire-rated façade offering from a single supplier.

Manufactured in the UK, the new panels achieve A2-s1, d0 reaction-to-fire classification and are available in a range of finishes and configurations, including DGU ‘shadow box’ style panels and optional Low-E glass.

The new range complements our existing fire-rated DGUs, giving architects, façade consultants and contractors greater flexibility to meet both performance and aesthetic requirements across commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.

Did you know that Pyroguard fire safety glazing can be used across a range of aluminium façade applications?

Through our ongoing collaboration with Schüco, our glazing has been tested and certified for use with the FW 50+ BF and FW 50+ FR 60 curtain wall systems, achieving fire resistance ratings of up to EI60.

That means greater flexibility when specifying fire safety glazing for commercial, residential and more complex façade projects.

Proud to partner with Schüco Middle East on the CEER project in Saudi Arabia, where the Schüco Fire Stop ADS 90 FR90 system has achieved 90-minute fire performance using Pyroguard Protect toughened fire safety glass.

CEER is a major new electric vehicle manufacturing development in Saudi Arabia, with some particularly demanding fire safety requirements. The use of volatile materials within the production process required robust fire protection, while the building design also called for extensive glazing to maximise natural light and provide clear views across the assembly areas.

To meet the project requirements, a representative assembly was tested to both EN and ASTM/UL standards, including the demanding hose stream test. This involves subjecting the exposed face of the glazing to a high-pressure fire hose immediately following the fire exposure.

The system successfully achieved 90 minutes of fire resistance in both test regimes.

The result is another step forward in delivering trusted, certified fire protection solutions for the region, with the Intertek listings now live on Spec-Direct.

A great example of what can be achieved through close collaboration between the glass and framing systems.
