Please join us for our annual Big Draw Gwithian Chapel on Sunday 25th October.
when we will also celebrate Halloween, the end of British Summertime and say farewell to Storm Austen!
Join us for this years Big Dune Draw at Gwithian, as we take part in our fourth Big Draw Festival to celebrate
the fourth year of the Friends of The Towans Art Club.
From 12.30 - 3pm, join artists Hilary Jean Gibson and Dominica Williamson at Gwithian Chapel to take part in our โBig Dune Drawโ. Weโll explore the 2026 Big Draw Festival theme โ
This year the theme is and we will link this to our experiences on the dunes.
We will all go out and draw together - adults, children and families, with some instruction at the start from
Hilary and Dominica who will both guide the session and be there if help and inspiration are needed.
Please bring your own materials with you, including paper/ sketchbook, pencils, coloured pencils, etc.
or ask if you would like to borrow these.
Also, Gwithian Chapel will be open from 3.30 - 5:30pm, with an exhibition of work created previously by adults, children and families at various locations in our beautiful Towans; including En Plein Air drawing at Mexico Towans, sunsets at St Gothian Sands and insect explorations by families and young people at Gwithian Green Nature Reserve. We will also project a short film by the families and photographs from the calendar year. If youโve joined us before then we want to include your artwork in this display, so please bring drawings and sketchbooks to the Chapel around midday or get in touch in advance. Artwork will be returned at the end of the day.
As the event is both a chance to participate in the Big Draw Festival and a celebration of the FOTT Art Club, tasty tea treats will be served in Gwithian Chapel at 3.30pm, so you can chat and enjoy the end of the day in style! Spread the word for this October and bring a friend!
