Well, one day the sun shines, the next it pours. 🍂

With autumn in full swing, the gardens at Nymans are turning through their seasonal palette of rust, amber, copper, gold, ruby red and chestnut brown. Leaves fall and carpet the paths, trees catch the light and every turn brings a new combination of colour.

Whether it’s a blustery wander, a walk in the rain or a welcome ray of autumn sunshine, there’s something to be found in every kind of weather. 🧣Wrap up, embrace the elements and come and see the gardens as they turn. Why not take a tree tour or step inside and discover the house and ruin or browse the secondhand bookshop, then treat yourself to a well deserved luxury hot chocolate.

🎭 Last chance to come and see the Oliver Messel exhibition before the house closes to prepare for Christmas.

There’s still time to step into the imaginative world of Oliver Messel, Britain’s leading stage designer of the mid-20th century, whose childhood at Nymans helped shape his extraordinary creative vision.

Discover his work across theatre, film and interior design, alongside a newly acquired portrait of his sister, Anne, Countess of Rosse, and inventive costumes created by MA Costume students from Wimbledon College of Arts.

✨ Catch the exhibition before it closes on Sunday 1 November. Open daily, 11am–3.30pm, upstairs in the Gallery.

Plan your visit to Nymans and discover the art of illusion before it’s gone.

Half term is here and the Ghost Hunt is underway. 👻 We’re going on a Ghost Hunt!

This half term, follow the Bunnies of Hoppity Hill on a Halloween adventure around Nymans. Can you find all the hidden ghosts?

Choose your bunny name, have a go at Halloween hoopla, race your broomstick and watch out for those warty toads as you cross the stepping stones. Then it’s time to celebrate and collect your sticker!

A little bit spooky, lots of fun, and perfect for our younger visitors. 🍂

📅 Until Sunday 1 November
⏰ 10am–4.30pm
🎟️ The trail is free with normal admission. National Trust members enter free.
Find out more and plan your visit via the link in our bio.
