📣 YOU SAID, WE DID!

Your local Chepping Wye & Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Officers have been out on patrol today following concerns raised by members of the community regarding vehicles obstructing footpaths and walkways.

✅ 22 parking tickets were issued, alongside advice and guidance being provided to drivers where appropriate.

Keeping pathways clear helps ensure everyone can move around safely, including parents with pushchairs, wheelchair users, and those with mobility needs.
Thank you to everyone who continues to report issues and work with us to help keep our communities safe and accessible.

Operation Grotto is our annual campaign to proactively target the seasonal increase in burglaries across Buckinghamshire. Our aim is to disrupt the criminal use of the road network in and out of the county, and provide a high visibility presence via nightly, continuous patrols. We will utilise a variety of different tactics to identify suspects and their vehicles, and prosecute more offenders. We will also be engaging with local residents to ensure they are prepared with crime prevention resources 🏠

Over the weekend, PS Lennard, PC Wotke, PC Palmer, PC Styles and PC Powell have carried out winter burglary patrols, focusing on the South Buckinghamshire area. This resulted in multiple vehicles being stopped for driving offences with 1 arrest and 1 vehicle seized. The team also attended a break-in in progress. Responding within 3 minutes to the report, they were able to disrupt a burglary from taking place.

Police Cadets, Fire Station Visit 🚒

On 7th October, the Thames Valley Police Cadets from High Wycombe had the fantastic opportunity to visit Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service for a guided tour of the station.

The cadets were given an insight into the important work carried out by firefighters, including learning about fire appliances, specialist equipment, emergency response procedures, and the day-to-day responsibilities of the fire service. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about partnership working within the emergency services and the vital role firefighters play in keeping our communities safe.

A huge thank you to the team at Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service for taking the time to host us and for sharing their knowledge and experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and appreciate the warm welcome.

The Wycombe Neighbourhood policing team have been continuing their increased patrols around Wycombe, focusing on areas known to be the most impacted by anti-social behaviour and other criminality 👮

Officers have been focusing their patrols on:
⛪ The Churchyard in the town centre
🚓 Desborough road
🚔 Spearing Road in Castlefield
👮‍♂️ Arinson Avenue in Totteridge

These patrols will continue to improve police visibility around Wycombe with the aim to detect and deter anti-social behaviour and crime
