Personnel from 1310 Flt at RAF Akrotiri undertook a Charity Chinook Pull, to raise money for a worthy cause.

The aircraft was successfully pulled 1,310 feet, raising money for SquaddieBox, a charity dedicated to supporting homeless veterans and members of the Armed Forces community facing hardship.

A fantastic effort by everyone involved, helping to make a real difference to those who have served. Well done to all participants and supporters for contributing to such a worthwhile cause.

❓ Why do Chinooks often fly at night? ❓

Operations don't stop when the sun goes down, and flying under the cover of darkness can offer a tactical advantage.

Regular night flying ensures that Chinook crews are trained and ready to operate safely and effectively at any time of the day or night.
