Want to be inspired by the great outdoors, take a closer look at nature or just take some time out for yourself? Join S2R at 10am on Friday for a friendly Art In The Park session, followed by a cuppa and a chat in the Greenhead Park pavilion.

Find inner peace and relaxation with a free Moving into Mindfulness course based at the Greenhead Park community room. A mixture of indoor and outdoor activities like walking, movement, drawing and gardening are aimed at helping with stress, anxiety and depression.

The five week course on Tuesday afternoons starts on November 3. It's open to all adults but you need to enrol first with Calderdale & Kirklees Recovery and Wellbeing College - www.calderdalekirkleesrc.nhs.uk/

If you’re looking for some half term family fun, why not have a go at The Park cafe’s Halloween Trail? It starts from the Greenhead Park conservatory with clues around the park. The £10.50 cost per child includes a spooky lunch box and treat bag.

Don’t miss this exciting free event in Greenhead Park on Sunday organised by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. There’ll be information stalls and drop-in activities for all ages, plus talks and practical workshops in the Greenhead Park community room (in the cafe building near the tennis courts).

Youngsters can get creative with the Friends of Greenhead Park in the Pavilion by the bowling greens, and you can meet there at 1.45pm to help plant spring bulbs too.

There's no need to book - just come along, have fun and help create a wilder Yorkshire!

Outdoor Yoga in the Park finishes this Saturday - but by popular demand it will move across the road to Greenhead College Sports Hall for the autumn and winter from Saturday 10 October.

We have some very exciting news 📢

Yoga in Greenhead Park is continuing for the Autumn and Winter!!!

Well, sort of 🤣. We are moving into Greenhead College Huddersfield as of 10th October!

So many of you requested that we couldn't ignore and we weren't ready to stop.

Our last outdoor class this term is Saturday. Led by Catherine Owen.

We can't wait to see you all there and hope to see you at the college soon 🫶.

Find out how Greenhead Park was created - and how it changed over the years - at an illustrated talk on Friday 18 September at 2pm in the Greenhead Park community room.

Afterwards you can have a look at a display of maps and pictures of the park, including images of people, events and activities in more recent years that may well bring back childhood memories.
