Mid Sussex District Plan - Parish Councils Hearing Statements
On 16th October 2026, the Parish Council submitted to the Government appointed Planning Inspector, three written statements concerning the “main modifications” to the draft Mid Sussex District Plan. The main modifications now bring the total number of new homes planned for the local area to nearly 6,000. The Planning Inspector will hold hearings in the first week of November to examine the latest draft of the District Plan and decide whether he believes it is a document that can be adopted by the District Council or not. The Parish Council will attend the hearings to continue to make the arguments set out in these statements and all previous responses to the draft District Plan consultation stages. The statements can be viewed on our website
