Public Notice - REPLACEMENT PUMP FOR HYTHE POOL

Hythe Pool will be closed for two days next week to allow essential maintenance works to be carried out.

A replacement pump is to be installed, meaning the South Road facility will be shut on both Wednesday 21 October and Thursday 22 October.

Affected clubs and schools have already been advised of the closure.

Folkestone & Hythe District Council’s contractors will also utilise this time to carry out building surveys.

These form part of the preliminary work needed to explore future pool refurbishment options and have been organised during this essential maintenance closure to minimise disruption to the public.

Maintaining swimming provision in the town remains a priority for the district council.

Great news to share — several improvement projects are starting next week across our facilities. 🏛️✨

Scaffolding will be erected at the front and rear of the Town Hall to allow for the installation of new replacement windows. 🪟🔧

Heras fencing will also be put in place around the MUGA on the Green as refurbishment works get underway. 🚧🌳

In addition, the Hard Tennis Courts at South Road will be closed from next week to accommodate the court refurbishment, and the grass courts will be closed for maintenance. 🎾⚠️

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these important works take place to enhance our facilities. Thank you for bearing with us, and we will keep you updated on progress and reopening dates over the coming weeks. 🙏📢
