“Ordinary Days”, showcasing beautiful mixed‑media paintings created by talented young artists aged 8–18 from the local group ARTYGalina

This collection is all about slowing down, noticing the quiet moments, and appreciating the simple things we often overlook in our busy, fast‑paced lives.

The nation’s favourite treasure hunt is coming to Valentines Mansion & Gardens!

The BBC Antiques Roadshow is heading to us on Sunday 7 June, promising a day of fascinating discoveries, remarkable stories and hidden treasures.

Please note this is a ticketed event.

The show is inviting the public to submit items to be considered for appraisal – whether it’s a cherished family heirloom or a more modern treasure.

If you would prefer to attend and soak up the atmosphere, you can apply for a spectator ticket.

marked at Valentines Mansion yesterday with our powerful new art exhibition showing the work of , who was born in Warsaw in 1914, and died in Ilford 1944.

The paintings will take you on the artist’s journey from his beloved Warsaw to post war England, via escape into Soviet Russia, prison, slave labour in Siberia, army service in North Africa, and the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy, whilst also having studied fine art in Warsaw, Paris and Rome. His final destination was a house in a street five minutes away from this very location in Valentines Park.

The exhibition was open yesterday as part of the memorial service in Valentines Park and we're grateful to everyone who visited.
