No response from the Redmere wind farm project team

On 29 September, Suffolk Conservatives requested a public meeting in Beck Row or Mildenhall so residents from Suffolk could ask questions and raise concerns about the proposed Redmere wind farm project.

We are still waiting for a response.

Suffolk residents deserve answers, and we will continue pressing for a public meeting and proper engagement with local communities.

Following the announcement of the proposed Redmere wind farm, which could affect communities across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, the Conservative Group at Suffolk County Council wrote to the Redmere project team on 29 September requesting a public meeting in Beck Row or Mildenhall.

Suffolk Conservatives are calling for answers on the Healthy Child Services consultation.

We cannot blindly vote on a referendum that could commit millions of Suffolk taxpayers’ money.

Today, Suffolk Conservatives abstained on the administration’s proposal to hold a non-binding referendum on asylum accommodation alongside the 2027 local elections.

We continue to stand with Barnham residents and oppose the use of RAF Barnham for asylum accommodation. However, any action taken by the Council must be lawful, transparent, properly costed and represent value for Suffolk taxpayers.
