The Ivers Parish Council The Ivers Parish Council serves the communities of Iver Village, Iver Heath, Richings Park, Thorney and Shreding Green

The Ivers Parish Council consists of fourteen councillors. Councillors are elected on a four year cycle for the four wards in which the Parish is divided:

- Iver Village & Richings Park ward
- Iver Heath ward
- Shredding Green ward
- Wood Lane ward

The Parish Council office is open to members of the public from 9am-2pm from Monday to Friday. This is located at 45B High Street, Iver, SL0 9ND.

Grass verge cutting on roads with a 30mph speed limit is due to commence on Monday 19th October 2026.

To help the contractor carry out this work safely and efficiently, residents are asked to ensure that grass verges are kept clear of parked vehicles and other obstructions wherever possible.

Vehicles parked on verges will prevent the contractor from cutting the grass properly and will delay completion of the work.

The Colne Valley Regional Park is developing Colne Connections, a proposed ยฃ5.1 million National Lottery Heritage Fund project to restore, enhance and celebrate the areaโ€™s natural and cultural heritage. https://www.colnevalleypark.org.uk/project/colne-connections/

To help shape the project, a Community Steering Group is being established to ensure local peopleโ€™s voices, experiences and priorities are heard.

2. People from Asian communities

The Environment Agency Groundwater Resources Team have identified a need for new boreholes in the area to be drilled in certain accessible locations. This is part of a groundwater resource and flood risk management monitoring scheme required to deliver information to the EA to enable them to perform their statutory obligations for the public benefit. Land at Iver Recreation Ground has been identified as being within the required radius where there are gaps in the monitoring network and therefore the EA requested access to enter to install a permanent borehole in 2026 which was approved by the Parish Council in March 2026.

Installation work has now started at Iver Recreation Ground just inside the ground beyond the car park and next to the Grounds Maintenance Workshop. Work should take no more than 10 days to complete and the EA will make sure the compound is safe, in conjunction with the Grounds Maintenance Team.
