🎃 A wee update about our Halloween Community Night! 🎃

We’re absolutely thrilled that so many of you are keen to come along to our Community Night! ❤️

However, due to overwhelming demand, we’ll need to split the event into two sessions to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, without spending the whole night standing in queues.

Please take a moment to check the timings below before booking:

🕟 P1, P2 & P3: 4:30pm–5:45pm
🕕 P4, P5, P6 & P7: 6:15pm–7:30pm

If you have children across multiple stages, you can choose whichever session suits your family best, but please only book ONE session.

A few important things to remember:

• 🎟️ All attendees must have a booking and a wristband to enter.
• Wristbands will be issued to children against the tickets booked in their name, so please make sure your booking is correct.
• All children must be accompanied by an adult.

We’re also delighted to have Fraser’s Food Truck and Ayrshires Finest Roasters joining us on the day! ☕🍔

Thank you again for your patience, consideration and willingness to get involved in something new. We really want to make this a huge success for our school community, but to do that safely and make sure everyone gets to enjoy the activities, we need to scale things back a little and manage numbers across the two sessions.

‼️🎟️Due to very high demand additional tickets have now been added to parent booking - if you still need tickets please sign in and book a space🎟️‼️

Can you please also ensure if you have booked a space you have included EVERYONE in your group coming not just a space for your child or a space for yourself.

Again just a reminder all young people must have an adult with them.

🎃 HALLOWEEN COMMUNITY NIGHT – LIMITED SPACES REMAINING! 🎃

WOW! We are absolutely overwhelmed by the interest in our Halloween Community Night! 🧡👻

Due to the high volume of interest in this event ALL families MUST book their space using the booking link previously sent out.

⚠️ Spaces are filling up fast with limited availability left⚠️

Unfortunately, we cannot permit entry to anyone who hasn’t booked in advance due to capacity so please don’t miss out!

‼️Please ensure you book a space for each person attending and please remember all children MUST be accompanied by an adult.‼️

We can’t and won’t tell you whether to send your child to school or not, that’s for you as a parent or carer to decide.

We just ask that if you are keeping your young person at home for any reason, could you please use the absence reporting tool on the app to report the reason for their absence.

Some parents said they had not taken their children to school because they were too worried.

🎃👻 ANNOUNCING… ONTHANK HALLOWE’EN COMMUNITY NIGHT! 👻🎃

We’re excited to announce something a little different for our Halloween event this year!

Instead of our traditional Halloween Disco, we’re bringing the whole school community together for a SPOOKTACULAR evening of family fun! 🧡

📅 Wednesday 28th October
⏰ 6pm - 7.30pm
🎟️ Donation Entry

Families are invited to dress up, come along and enjoy an evening packed with Halloween fun!

🕷️ Lots of spooky Halloween activity stations
🎨 Crafts, games & tattoos
💃 Music and dancing
🎃 Costume parade
🏆 Prizes, treats and lots more!

This event is open to our whole school community, with parents, carers and families all welcome to join in the fun!

Whether you’re joining in the dancing, getting creative at our Halloween stations or showing off your best costume, there will be something for everyone!

We can’t wait to see everyone come together for a fantastic evening! ❤️

❤️ Onthank Parent Council 2026/27 ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in joining our Parent Council this year!

We’re now officially up and running and excited about the plans, projects and events we have ahead of us for 2026/27! 🙌

Our Parent Council is all about bringing parents and carers together, supporting our school, representing our wider Parent Forum and making a positive difference for our children.

It’s not too late to get involved!

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we’d love to have you on board. Every contribution makes a difference, and you don’t need to attend every meeting to play a part.

We would really love to have parent representation from every year group!

You don’t need to be a current member or commit to taking on a role — just come along, meet us, hear a little about what we do and find out what we’ve got planned for the year ahead.

We’ll also elect our Parent Council team for the coming year, so if you’d like to get more involved, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a chance to look back on the year, talk about what’s ahead and choose our Parent Council team for the coming year.

Everyone is welcome to come along, even if you’ve never been to a Parent Council meeting before. You can simply pop along, meet us and get a feel for what we’re about ❤️

We’re also hoping to hold a little coffee morning before the AGM, giving anyone who’s interested the chance to meet the current team, ask questions and find out a bit more about getting involved.

At the AGM we’ll:
✨ Vote on officer bearers for the coming year
✨ Go through a short agenda
✨ Review our constitution
✨ Talk about plans for the year ahead

If you’re interested in taking on a position within the Parent Council for the coming year, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you!

You don’t need to know everything or have lots of experience. Just a willingness to give a little of your time and get involved. ❤️

We’ve had some parents raise concerns about head lice, so we’d kindly ask all parents and carers to periodically check your child’s hair.

Please check for live lice and nits, particularly behind the ears and around the neck.
