Hidden amongst the trees on Ardverikie Estate, Pattack Falls carves through a narrow rocky pine-lined gorge.

The lower falls are easily accessible from the car park, while the more dramatic falls (featured in the video) are accessed by a walking trail.

Can you still go quad biking at Ardverikie Estate? 🏞️

It's a question we get asked quite often, and we can understand why, as there's still information online suggesting that we offer guided quad bike and ATV experiences.

We did run these tours on the estate in the past, but we haven't offered them for several years now.

Unfortunately, some of the older information is still appearing on Google, so we thought we'd clear up the confusion!

While quad biking is no longer available at Ardverikie, there are still plenty of ways to explore the estate on foot, with walking routes taking you through our woodland and Highland scenery.

We hope this helps anyone planning a visit!

This kitchen has probably seen a few Sunday dinners over the years! 🍽️

One of the nice things about a self-catering holiday with family or friends is getting everyone around the same table.

At Rudh na Magach, there's room for eight, whether it's a big family dinner, a few pizzas and a bottle of w**e, or breakfast together before heading out to explore.

We have good availability left for this cottage across November & December. Check your dates here: https://ardverikie.pulse.ly/zbo1mgqdvy

One of the loveliest parts of welcoming guests to Ardverikie is hearing about their adventures after they've returned home. ❤️

We recently received a wonderful message from sisters Desirée and Femke, who stayed at our Gatelodge and spent their time exploring the estate and the wider Highlands.

From walks through the estate and a visit to the Falls of Pattack (thanks to a recommendation from Amanda!) to evenings spent by the fire, it was lovely to hear how much they enjoyed their stay.

They also made the most of Ardverikie's location, using the estate as a base to explore more of the Highlands, including trips to Ben Nevis and Loch Ness.

And perhaps our favourite part of their message?
“The Highlands already feels like home away from home to us.”

Thank you both for sharing these beautiful photographs.

This is a question we get asked quite a lot on social media. The answer is… maybe!

Ardverikie is home to a wild herd of more than 1,000 red deer, but they have thousands of acres to roam across the hills, valleys and forests, so a sighting is never guaranteed.

That said, many of guests staying in our estate cottages tell us they’ve spotted deer while out exploring our walking routes (often from a distance, so binoculars are well worth packing.) If you do see them, you’ve been in the right place at the right time. 🦌

It's week .. and we know a spot ...

All of our holiday cottages are dog friendly, and if you caught our recent post, you’ll know that how many dogs you can bring depends on which cottage you choose. If you missed it, have a look back through our page for the full breakdown. 🐾

If you’ve brought your four-legged companion to Ardverikie, share your favourite photo from their stay in the comments.
