🎾🎾 Friday Tennis Round-Up! 🎾🎾

On Friday 16th October, the children enjoyed their final tennis session of the term! 🥎 They have had so much fun over the past few weeks, developing their skills, learning new techniques and enjoying the opportunity to make use of such a fantastic resource right here in our village. 💚

A massive thank you to Sue Stannard for teaching the children each week and sharing your knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for tennis. The children have really appreciated all the time, effort and encouragement you have given them👏💛

Thank you for helping make tennis such a fun and memorable experience for everyone! 🎾✨

🔥🍎 Learning, exploring & enjoying the great outdoors! 🌿
The children have been busy learning all about fire! 🔥 After discovering how to safely start a fire, they had the opportunity to put their learning into practice and have a go themselves.
We explored the different types of fires we can build, searched for our own sticks, and carefully prepared our apples by cutting them up ready to heat over the fire. 🍎
There was so much learning along the way — developing practical skills, building confidence, problem-solving, working together and gaining a deeper understanding of fire and fire safety.
And the best part? Enjoying our lovely warm, sweet apples that we had prepared ourselves! 😋🔥
There’s something truly special about learning through hands-on experiences, taking on new challenges and enjoying the rewards of our own efforts. 🌳✨

🌿🌎 Eco Explorers! 🌱

Four of our children had a fantastic morning at Sir William Robertson Academy, joining pupils from other schools last Friday for an exciting Eco Systems morning! 💚

They headed outdoors to collect natural materials and used them to create their very own mini ecosystems in a jar. Along the way, they learned all about the difference between biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) things and explored why it is so important to protect our environment and keep it healthy. 🌱🍃

A wonderful morning of hands-on learning, teamwork and discovering the amazing world around us! 🌍✨

🌍🎭 Rhubarb Theatre – Collection Day Eco Project! ♻️

We had a fantastic afternoon at Leadenham as Rhubarb Theatre visited our school with their Collection Day Eco Project 🌱 The whole school enjoyed watching the brilliant performance and interacting with Kirsty and James, bringing the story to life! 🎭

The fun continued with an exciting workshop where the children got creative and made their very own puppets 🐠🐟

A huge thank you to Kirsty and James for such a fun, engaging and educational afternoon! It was also lovely to welcome Kirsty back to Leadenham, as a former pupil of our school. ❤️🏫

🌾🍂 Harvest Festival 2026 🍂🌾

On Monday 5th October, we gathered together at church for our Harvest Festival, where we were delighted to be joined by our wonderful parents, families and friends of the school. ❤️

It was a lovely afternoon filled with beautiful songs, hymns and prayers as we came together to celebrate harvest and give thanks for all that we have. 🙏🎶🌽

A massive thank you to all of our children and parents for their incredibly generous donations. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference to others in our local community.

All donations have been collected and donated to the Lincoln Community Larder where they will help support families and individuals in need. ❤️

Thank you for helping us to share the true spirit of harvest — giving, caring and coming together as a community. 🌾🍂💛

My Maths Story✨🔢

Today we were delighted to welcome James Gibbons from Capital One as part of National Numeracy into school!

James helped the children discover all the different ways we use maths in everyday life and how important numeracy skills are across a wide range of different jobs and careers.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to see that maths really is everywhere and plays such an important part in our lives! ➕✖️📊

A huge thank you to James for such an engaging and inspiring session! 🌟💙

🌿📖 World Poetry Day 📖🌿

Last Thursday, we celebrated World Poetry Day by the children coming together to think of sentences that describe what makes our school so special. ❤️

We then used some of their wonderful ideas to create a poem all about Leadenham Primary! ✨📝

To finish, the children got creative and decorated a beautiful frame using natural resources collected from our school grounds. 🌿🍂🌸

A lovely morning full of creativity, teamwork and celebrating what makes our school such a special place! 💚
