🎃👻 HALLOWEEN FUN AT WHARFESIDE! 👻🎃
Our residents, families and staff certainly got into the spooky spirit yesterday, with plenty of giggles, mischief and Halloween madness! 🧙‍♀️🕷️
🧁 Buns were made, laughter was shared and everyone had a fang-tastic time! 🤣🎃
A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the day full of smiles, laughter and a little bit of spooky magic! 🧡🦇

Our Loving Later Life Awards spotlight continues with James Rae, winner of the Neighbour Like No Other Award.

Living at Hanover Close in Andover, James is always ready to lend a hand to his neighbours. Whether helping with practical tasks, giving people lifts to appointments or getting involved in community projects such as building a garden bench, he makes a real difference.

James said: “It’s nice to be thought of, and I couldn’t have done it without everyone else in our lovely community!”

🎃🎨 Pumpkin Painting Fun at Wharfeside! 🎨🎃
Yesterday, our residents and staff had a spooktacular time getting creative with some pumpkin painting! 🧡
There were plenty of smiles, laughter and colourful creations as everyone got into the Halloween spirit! 👻🎃

💜 Join West Hall care home for a Remembrance Service on Thursday 5 November.

They will come together to honour the lives of lost loved ones, with singing from Feltonfleet School, a performance by harpist Danielle and a service led by Revd. Dr Keith Elford, Vicar of West Byfleet and New Haw.

Friends, family and members of the local community are warmly invited. Refreshments will be served after the service.

🐾❤️ That's a wrap for DOGTOBER 2026! ❤️🐾
WOW! What a month it has been here at Wharfeside! 🐶🐕🐾
Throughout October, we have welcomed so many wonderful dogs and their lovely owners, including families, friends, staff and members of our local community.
We even had a very special visit from Billy the Bus, who helped us kick off our Dogtober celebrations! 🚌🐾
Our residents have absolutely loved every minute, from cuddles and wagging tails to lots of laughter and happy memories. ❤️
Sometimes no words were needed. The smiles on our residents' faces and the happiness in their eyes said it all. 🥹❤️
And of course, we couldn't finish Dogtober without celebrating our final Dogs of the Day! 🐶🏆🐾 What a lovely way to end such a special month!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us with their four-legged friends. You have brought so much joy and happiness into our home, and we couldn't have done it without you!
DOGTOBER may be over, but the paws have certainly left their prints on our hearts! 🐾❤️

What happens when a passion for dance becomes part of your day job?

For Bob, a Care Assistant at Anchor - St Edith's Court, it means bringing music, movement and plenty of encouragement to regular Zest sessions with residents.

Bob has been delivering Zest at the care home since completing his training, and says it’s his favourite part of the job.

“It’s my favourite part of the job. We all feel good after it.”

It’s lovely to see Bob using something he’s passionate about to help residents stay active, have fun and enjoy time together. 💜 Zest Wellbeing

🎃🎶 Spooktacular Songs & Smiles! 👻🧡
Yesterday, our residents enjoyed another wonderful Songs & Smiles session with The Together Project ! 🎶❤️
Our residents absolutely love these Friday visits, and we always look forward to welcoming the lovely Charlotte Eddington , who leads the group, along with the babies and little ones!
This week was extra special, as even the babies and children got into the Halloween spirit with their adorable costumes! 🎃👻
There were plenty of smiles, laughter and lovely moments shared across the generations. ❤️
A huge thank you to Charlotte and everyone at The Together Project for bringing so much joy to our Fridays! 🥰🎶

On Thursday, we had the honour of welcoming Dorothy's family to Wharfeside as they gathered to celebrate her life and share special memories.
It was a privilege to be able to provide a warm and welcoming space for Dorothy's family to come together at such a difficult time.
A special thank you to our wonderful chef Paul Royston and his team, who prepared a beautiful buffet for everyone to enjoy.
Dorothy will always be remembered with great fondness by everyone here at Wharfeside.
Our thoughts and love are with Dorothy's family. ❤️
