🌟Look at these little super stars🌟
They're at the start of their swimming lesson journey and have just got their first swimming badge, Discovery Ducking 1. Amongst other things, this means they:
- can bob up and down in the water with adult support
- are comfortable with water poured over the back of their head

Thank you everyone for the feedback we have received with regard to our swimming lessons since opening, and also following the recent survey which has been sent out to you all. There has been a great mix of positive news along with areas where we can and need to improve. Some of these issues we were already aware of and working through, one being the congestion in the changing rooms during Swimming Lessons changeover.

This communication is to let you all know we are changing our approach from today Monday 19th October.

If children can arrive and be ready for their lesson 2-3 minutes before it’s due to start. A lifeguard will be waiting in the shower area to take them to the poolside to sit and wait on the bench which runs along the far wall. There will be relevant zones where to sit related to their tage. They will be supervised by the lifeguard until the teacher is ready for them. Parents can then return back to the cafe area, making it easier for the children leaving lessons to see their parents for collection.

So, to clarify and help us to help you:

Please ensure your child has visited the toilet if needed prior to lessons
Drop your child off in the shower area 2-3 minutes before the lesson, they will be taken to poolside by the lifeguard.
Return back to the cafe area for the duration of the lesson, returning at the end for collection.
It would greatly help the process if your child was ready in their designated stage swimming cap. Please ask your teacher if a hat is needed.
