Aspris Supporting children & young people with autism, SEMH & complex needs. Send us a message with your questions๐Ÿ‘‹

At Aspris, we support individuals to fulfil their potential, no matter what their challenges may be. We believe that everyone we work with, from children to adults and colleagues, can excel in their own way. We have three main groups of services which support the needs of children, young people and adults across the UK and the Middle East. They are:

- Childrenโ€™s services in the UK
- Childrenโ€™s services in the Middle East
- Healthcare services in the Middle East

At Aspris Childrenโ€™s Services, we deliver specialised and highly individualised education, care and support that transforms lives. With an unwavering focus on achieving the very best outcomes, our network of schools, colleges, childrenโ€™s homes and fostering agency empower children and young people to succeed with their education, whilst developing socially and emotionally. We are deeply committed to helping children to achieve their unique goals and aspirations. In the Middle East, Aspris is continuing Prioryโ€™s prestigious reputation as a successful international service provider. Our specialist educational services support young people with autism to engage with learning, achieve academically and prepare for a career, whilst building emotional, social and independence skills they can draw on throughout their life ahead. Our Wellbeing Centres in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh also provide high quality support for a wide range of mental health conditions, supporting both adults and children.

This week, one of our sites celebrated Black History Month by exploring the lives of influential Black singers and songwriters before bringing the learning to life through music and art.

Pupils enjoyed playing drums along to Bob Marley songs and created their own colourful African inspired prints using paint.

A fantastic week of learning enjoyed by all ๐Ÿ’œ

Not sure what an EHCP actually is? You're not alone.

For many parents, the SEND journey introduces a whole new set of terms, processes and paperwork.

One of the most important is the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

In this clip, our colleague Nicola Craig explains what an EHCP is, when a child might be considered for one, and why schools play such an important role in the process.

Understanding how the system works can help families feel more confident about the support available to their child.

Many young people arrive at Belhaven facing significant challenges.

But the team never focuses on what's standing in the way.

Instead, they focus on what's possible ๐Ÿ‘

We're proud to recognise Belhaven as finalists in our Through Hardship to the Stars โ€“ Care category.

Congratulations to the whole team ๐Ÿ’œ

Supporting young people is about helping them prepare for the future.

But confidence, independence and life skills don't appear overnight.

They grow through patience, encouragement and trusted relationships.

The team at Westcliffe House work together every day to help young people develop the skills they need for adulthood while creating a warm and supportive environment where they can thrive.

That's why we're proud to celebrate them as finalists in our Through Hardship to the Stars โ€“ Care category.

Who knew a litter pick could become so competitive?

As part of their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award volunteering, five students from one of our sites spent time helping to clean up the local area around school.

What started as community volunteering soon became a friendly challenge as students competed to see who could collect the most litter.
Along the way, they even uncovered an old vinyl LP, which was definitely one of the more unusual finds ๐ŸŽต

More importantly, the experience gave students the chance to work together, support their community and see the difference their efforts can make ๐Ÿ’œ

If you could write a letter to anyone in the world, who would you choose? โœ๏ธ

This term, some of our pupils have been exploring biographies and non fiction texts by learning about inspiring individuals and the incredible stories behind their achievements.

To bring their learning to life, pupils wrote letters to famous people.
Sharing their thoughts.
And asking thoughtful questions.

The result was a collection of fantastic letters ๐Ÿ™‚

We're incredibly proud to share that Oliver House School has become the FIRST independent primary and secondary school to receive an Exceptional grade across all seven areas of the new Ofsted inspection framework.

Inspectors recognised the transformational impact the school has on the lives of young people, describing Oliver House as a place that "transforms lives".

This fantastic achievement reflects the expertise, compassion and dedication of our colleagues, alongside the resilience and success of our young people they support every day.

Through personalised care and education, tailored to the individual strengths, needs and aspirations of every young person, our colleagues help unlock potential and create opportunities for children and young people to thrive and reach their potential.

As our CEO, Charles Coney, says:
"We are so proud of Oliver House โ€“ our incredible colleagues bring compassion, expertise and an unwavering commitment to providing personalised care and education, tailored to the individual strengths, needs, and aspirations of every young person. Every day, every hour and every minute, our dedicated colleagues unlock the potential of our young people across Aspris. Behind every story is a young person and a future that has been transformed."

A historic moment that Aspris is immensely proud of ๐Ÿ‘

What happens when months of patience, care and hard work finally pay off?

In our Garden Hub, at one of our sites, it looks like baskets full of fresh vegetables and pupils beaming with pride.

Before the summer break, our students planted, watered and nurtured their crops, knowing that growing something takes time. Then came the challenge. With the holidays approaching, their hard work would need a little extra help to make it through the summer months. Thankfully, our fantastic maintenance team stepped in, ensuring the garden continued to thrive while students were away.

When Sixth Form returned, they were greeted with the reward for all their efforts. A bumper harvest of potatoes and sweetcorn, with healthy pumpkins continuing to flourish and grow ๐Ÿฅ”๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŽƒ

This harvest is a celebration for everyone involved ๐Ÿ’œ

The words that stood out most in this story weren't spoken by a colleague.

They came from a student.

"If college believes in me, I know I can believe in myself as well."

For the team at one of our sites, Arden College's PHASE 4 provision, that's what success looks like.

Not only helping students develop skills for employment, but helping them build the confidence to follow their ambitions and achieve their goals ๐Ÿ‘

We're proud to celebrate Arden College as finalists in our Through Hardship to the Stars โ€“ Education category at the Aspris Awards.
