🚩🛠️ UNITE FOR THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The struggle against the bosses continues, as the current attack on university staff and students shows no signs of stopping. On the 31st of July, students and staff from across the country will assemble in Sheffield to discuss this cycle of cuts and closures - and we want as many people to attend as possible! WE UNITED AS STUDENTS AND STAFF - NOW LET'S UNITE THE STRIKES!

We obviously can't fight these cuts in our isolated campuses. To better coordinate our movement and bring it up to the national level, anti-cuts representatives from different universities have been meeting and planning for a conference at the end of July. If your university isn't yet represented, please feel free to join!

Divided we fall. United, we have a world to win

The conversation cannot stop at compensation.

Our SU must do more for students and support our lecturers if it intends to serve our interests.

If our education is being cut, the response cannot simply be to manage disruption. The root causes within our University management must be addressed, not ignored.

Students deserve stability. But stability does not come from silence while courses, departments, and services are cut.

On 25 February, during the Senate meeting where further cuts will be discussed, we will be outside.

Not just to protest, but to organise.

We will be gathering views from students and staff to show management what our community really wants. If meaningful change is not made, we are preparing a student rally in March.

This is step one.

Join us.

Why do some students feel hard done by the University of Leicester?

Concerns about spending priorities.
Concerns about transparency.
Concerns about leadership pay while staff face below-inflation rises.
Concerns about the future of our courses and departments.

These are not small issues. They shape our education and our experience.

If you are not happy about the attacks on staff and students, join us.

25th February.

Outside the Fielding Johnson Building.

For the Mock Mafia-Style Funeral for our education, and the courses our university “bosses” are trying to “whack” next.

Let’s stand together as staff and students - we will not have our education put up for sale!

£11m in cuts.
163 jobs.
Who’s next?

Andrew speaks out.

Staff careers and student education are getting the boot, the time to unite is now! One struggle against the bosses!

UNIVERSITY FUNERAL.
Nothing Personal. Just Business.

🗓 25 Feb at 12pm
📍 Outside Fielding Johnson

On 25 February, during the University Senate meeting, decisions will be made about what gets cut next.

So we are organising.

A mock mafia-style funeral for the courses and services our university "bosses" want to “whack” next.

We’re mocking their decisions, we're making a spectacle of it to draw attention, and we're showing that students and staff are organising.

Join us, and let's have some fun while we stand up for our education!
