It’s National Bike Day! 🚲🚲🚲

It looks like being a perfect day to dust off the trusty bike and get out in the fresh air. ☀️⛅️☀️

We are so lucky in South Ribble to have some lovely routes to ride your bike, and with the New Old Tram Bridge being opened, you could even risk travelling into Preston!!! 🐑🐑🐑

My Dad, Vinny, has been having a clear out and found this old newspaper clipping from The Lancashire Evening Post.

I’d gone to Cardiff to watch the mighty PNE play West Ham United in the Championship play offs…missing the start of a family holiday in Greece to do so.

Needless to say North End lost and West Ham went up to the Premier League. Somewhere we have still never been.

Ah well, there’s always next season!!

🌳 Improvement works are now underway at Withy Grove Park 🌳

Contractors are on site preparing for a series of upgrades that will make the park safer, more accessible and even better for families, players and visitors.

Over the coming weeks you’ll see:
• Better spectator viewing areas
• A new emergency access route to the 3G pitches
• A refreshed skate park
• A new kick about zone
• A wider, safer main entrance with new signage
