What’s on in our parks this November? 🍂
There’s plenty happening in our parks this month, from conservation volunteering and gentle walks to opportunities to get involved with local wildlife.
Neaten and Natter – 3 November, 1pm–3pm
Our monthly volunteer session is a chance to help keep Beacon Park looking its best with litter picking, weeding and other jobs. Equipment is provided. Weather permitting.
Countryside & Parks Conservation Group – 4 and 18 November, 10:30am-3pm
Join our friendly volunteer group on the first and third Wednesday of each month for hands-on conservation work. Activities include footpath creation, scrub clearance and hedge-laying. Please contact [email protected] to register your interest.
Dawdle and Do – Every Wednesday, 10am–12pm
Enjoy a gentle walk around Beacon Park, meeting at the Greenhough Road car park entrance. Afterwards, head to the Discovery Hub for crafts or a board game and refreshments.
Create a loggery – 7 November, 10am–2pm
Come along and help us create a new wildlife habitat on the path to the woodland. Loggeries provide a home for all sorts of wildlife, including solitary bees, beetles and fungi.
Armistice display and Remembrance Sunday –
The Friends of Prince's Park Armistice display will be in place until 28 November, with a service for Remembrance Sunday taking place at the park from 10am.
Make the most of your local parks this November 💚
