At Home from Home, we’re all about real life over "day care." After our pub trip, we headed back for a 2-course homemade meal, funny (and competitive!) game of Smart Ass, and Cuddles with our favorite therapy pup, Penny.

The Home from Home difference? We aren't a traditional, building-based center. We are a small circle of friends staying connected, staying visible, and living life to the fullest.

Caring for a loved one with Dementia is a journey that shouldn’t be walked alone.
That’s why Home from Home-Sefton - CIC has joined forces with Meadows Homecare, with the fantastic support of Lydiate Parish Council, to launch a brand-new, monthly support group!

We believe every person deserves to be valued, seen, and heard. Whether you are a carer looking for a friendly ear or a loved one wanting a meaningful afternoon out, this group is for You.

What to expect at our first session:
• For the Carers: A chance to relax, share experiences, and get expert advice. We are so delighted to have Michelle, Dementia Advisor from the Alzheimer's Society, joining us to answer your questions!
• For our Loved Ones: A beautifully themed afternoon including a full Afternoon Tea (with plenty of home-baked cakes!) and a supported, creative art session. 🎨☕

What a fabulous day we had celebrating Caths 80th Birthday 🥳🎉 She certainly was Queen for the day with lots of gifts, afternoon tea, fun and laughter, and singing & dancing with a live performance in our very own living room by the Outstanding VictoriaJones (videos to follow)

and ofcourse, her favourite, a special visit from the cutest little Coco to brighten up her day 🐶 anyone who knows Cath knows just how much dogs mean to her, and after losing her very own Paddy last year, any time spent with dogs is so very precious for our Cath 💖🐶🥰 we love you Cath xXx

Here at Home from Home we make it our mission to ensure every day spent with us is meaningful and memorable and that each person feels included, valued and loved xXx
