In our collection, alongside works by the likes of Lucian Freud and Rose Wylie, is a rather unusual portrait of a barefooted man in a grey suit👀 The surrealist painting is both of and by Wallasey artist Albert Richards. Gender Stories 🎨What is gender, and how does it shape our lives? Co-developed by National Museums Liverpool, Bristol Museums and Brighton & Hove Museums, this thought-provoking exhibition explores changing perceptions of gender through art, history and personal stories.

Listening All Night To The Rain 📽️ Acclaimed British artist Sir John Akomfrah presents a powerful multi-screen installation first commissioned for the British Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale. Inspired by the poetry of Su Dongpo, the work explores migration, memory, racial injustice and climate change through newly filmed and archival footage.
