Deane Road Jewish Cemetery

We are looking for volunteers to join our team. Please get in touch if you can offer support with
a. keeping this page up to date
b. ideas for raising funds for the maintenance of the cemetery (a few thousand a year)

We had a great opening day for National Heritage Week yesterday. Although of course it rained as it always does.... people came from all round the country - and up the road - to learn more about the wonderful people buried here.

Remember we are open on the first Sunday of the month (ie this week) 12-4pm for volunteers who would like to help with a bit of gardening/weeding/clearing. All very welcome and the sun should be out :)

It's the Third Sunday of the Month this weekend and so we are open again for tours :) 12-4pm, pop in and see us if you can.
Lovely bit of a walk and some history on a Sunday, sounds good to us.

Vote for artist Julia Vogl to instal a colourful art piece for our friends Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol, we've had a beautiful light installation in our cemetery last year by artist Robyn Woolston and so we know how amazing it can be, Arnos Vale were really helpful to us when we began our Heritage Lottery restoration so they get our vote. http://www.culture24.org.uk/places%20to%20go/museums%20at%20night/art420743

Facebook has been playing up for us today, we tweeted conference photos fine all day but wouldn't work on here.

Good day had by all followed by beautiful sunshine for the tour of the cemetery at the end. Obviously it would be sunny, we just bought umbrellas!!
