πŸŽπŸŽ„ LODDON TOWN COUNCIL IS SUPPORTING THE CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL AGAIN! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

We’re delighted to be taking part once again in the Broadland and South Norfolk Councils Christmas Toy Donation Appeal, helping to bring festive joy to children and families across our local communities. ❀️

The appeal is collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts to help make Christmas special for children who might otherwise go without.

🎁 Whether it’s a toy, a fun game, a creative craft kit or a new book, every donation can help make a real difference and bring a smile to a child’s face on Christmas morning.

✨ Last year’s generosity was amazing! Residents and businesses donated over 1,000 toys, 378 books and almost 300 additional gifts, helping to support 208 families across South Norfolk and Broadland.

πŸŽ… HOW TO DONATE

You can drop off your donations at Loddon Town Council Office, Tuesday to Thursday, between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon.

πŸ“§ If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] or go to: https://www.southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk/christmas-toy-donation-appeal

Let’s come together again this year to spread a little Christmas magic and help make Christmas brighter for local families! β€οΈπŸŽ„

Thank you for your kindness and support. 🎁

Last Sunday saw the Love πŸ’š Loddon Community Group working together to take out the summer geraniums from our town planters and repot them for overwintering.

Amazing effort, especially in near gale-force winds and huge thanks go to Jo, Fiona, Roy, Ros, Carl, Larry, Mervyn, Carol P, Carol W, Jonathan (who also raked in another 10 bags of gravel at The Hollies) Bernard for litter picking and Larry and Sophie for kindly having us all for a well-earned coffee afterwards.

It’s goodbye to the old planters, which have served us well since 2005, and thanks in part to a grant from South Norfolk Council, Loddon will see shiny-new planters being installed soon. These will provide a more efficient watering system and hopefully beautiful floral displays for the next 20 years!

Our fantastic volunteers are getting together again next Sunday, 1st of November at 10am to plant Spring bulbs at Loddon Staithe. Please bring hand tools if you would like to join us!
