Why building collective resilience?
Because we're at a tipping point and rather than just mitigate, we need to adapt.
The Village is on a mission to prepare communities for the changes of a warming planet by designing and managing inclusive and welcoming spaces.

After 3 months of operation and over 70 events, The Village team is saying good bye to the Factory Quarter Community Hub π
These 13 weeks have been amazing in terms of learnings and we hope our humble operation contributed to build stronger community resilience in the face of the climate emergency π€πͺβ
π If you haven't filled in our survey, please do now and watch that space for our impact report!

What should have been a 6 weeks trial turned into a 3 months pop-up full of life. The Hub quickly became a place to hang for a lot of people, helping fight loneliness and build stronger local ties, an organising catalyst for people to come forward and organise events for their neighbours, a place for young people to play, and for people to be without labels or expectations π₯πΈπ₯
Itβs been a privilege, an honour and a real labor of love. We feel very grateful for all the connections, the experience and the warmth weβve benefited from π
π Thank you to all our partners for making this a reality and their continuous support: Notting Hill Genesis, Footwork, Hammersmith Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Friends of the Earth.
π π Thank you to all our facilitators and everyone who organised and event or activity at the space.
π ππ And thank to the marvellous local & Factory Quarter community for your warmth, ideas and for welcoming us into your world.
We will definitely miss you! π₯Ίπ§‘π₯°
