Labour Friends of Afghanistan

We are delighted to report that our founder and senior advisor, Shukrullah Ludin, has been working closely with the Afghanistan policy team of Labour leader and our future Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer. Mr Ludin has been providing them with regular briefings on the latest developments. We are pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to this important policy area, and we look forward to continuing our work.

په بریتانیا پارلمان کې ددې کنفرانس نیولو اصلي موخه د افغانانو او افغانستان پر وړاندې پر شته ننګونو خبرې کول او د برتانیاوی‌ سیاستوالو او نړۍ تر غوږونو رسول دي، څو افغانستان یوازې پرې نه ږدي او په ځانګړې توګه بریتانیا د یوه نږدې دوست او متحد په توګه خپل مسوولیت ادا کړي.

‏در پارلمان بریتانیا هدف اصلی برگذاری این کنفرانس بحث در مورد چالش های پیش روی افغان ها و افغانستان و رساندن آن به گوش سیاستمداران بریتانیایی و جهانیان است تا افغانستان را تنها نگذارند‌ و بالخصوص بریتانیا مس‌ؤلیت خویش را به حیث کشور دوست و متحد نزدیک انجام دهند.

We have organised a conference in Uk parliament to discuss the ongoing challenges in Afghanistan and the way forward to avert them.

It will take place on 30th April at 5:00pm.

We are delighted to announce that we have taken further steps towards enhancing our regional presence by establishing groups in several key cities, including Sheffield, Rotherham, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bolton, and Manchester. These groups will foster a sense of community among the British-Afghan diaspora, enabling them to collaborate towards common goals and actively engage in political activities that are pertinent to our shared interests in the wider society. In addition and more importantly, these groups will provide invaluable support and canvass for our candidates in upcoming general elections. As we continue to expand our operations across the country, we remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring our candidates receive the support they need to succeed.

Today, our founder, Shukrullah Ludin, had a meeting with (MP) Shadow Cabinet Minister for international development, Preet Gill, where they discussed a range of issues related to Afghanistan and the British-Afghan diaspora in the UK. In particular, they discussed comprehensively the recent death of, Amir Safi, and other similar incidents to investigate including the ways forward on how to prevent such tragedies from happening again.

Our founder, Shukrullah Ludin, will be impartially briefing Shadow Home Secretary and Immigration Minister on the key hurdles Afghan evacuees and refugees are facing across the country. In particular, will be discussing the ACRS, ARAP schemes and the asylum applications of those Afghan refugees who have been in the U.K. for a considerably long time, remained in limbo and awaiting decisions.

Thanks to our excellent panel for sharing invaluable insights on the crisis of Afghanistan. Particularly, to expedite humanitarian aid now to protect Afghan people who are at the brink of hunger and famine.
