During World War II, the Royal Air Force (RAF) conducted a sustained strategic bombing campaign against Germany, reaching its greatest intensity between 1943 and 1944. RAF Bomber Command targeted industrial centers, transportation networks, and urban areas in an effort to disrupt German war production and weaken civilian morale. Operations such as the bombing of Hamburg in July 1943 and the prolonged Battle of Berlin reflected the scale, technological evolution, and human cost of Britain’s air war over Europe.
