A privilege to join the celebration of Cancer Research UK’s 125th anniversary at St James’s Palace, recognising 125 years of dedication to advancing cancer research and improving lives.

Three years ago, we set out to take a different approach to think more carefully about how the Duchy could use its land to create opportunity and provide long-term support for communities. That included launching a project here in Cornwall aimed at helping tackle homelessness through the right care, housing and support network.

It’s wonderful to return to Nansledan and see that vision beginning to come to life, and to meet some of the people who now call it home. There is still more work ahead, but it is deeply encouraging to see what can be achieved when the right people, ideas and ambition come together.

Seeing encouraging progress on projects supporting healthcare, housing, and island life in St Mary’s across the Isles of Scilly.

Witnessing the incredible commitment of Housing Delivery as they support individuals experiencing homelessness today in Nansledan, Cornwall. Truly inspiring to see compassion and action making a real difference in people’s lives.

Over the past two days in Reggio Emilia, I have witnessed the profound role that nature and creativity play in placing human connection at the heart of a child’s world.
