After a recent walkabout with the Cabinet Member, together with neighbours we took action on issues raised on Prima Road and Offley Road. We organised a fresh-view and rebuilt the street planters, now freshly painted and ready to bloom.

🏡 Renters deserve security, not uncertainty.
As your local Labour & Co-operative candidates, we’re standing up for private renters across our community.
We’ve already delivered:
✔️ A landlord licensing scheme and database to improve accountability and communication
✔️ Stronger protections for over 100,000 private renters through Lambeth Labour’s renters’ rights scheme
And we’re going further:
🔒 Setting up a Renters’ Rights Team to protect you from illegal eviction
⚖️ Taking action against rogue and criminal landlords
📢 Expanding support so every renter knows their rights
Because everyone deserves a safe, secure place to call home.

Let’s make sure our community’s voice is heard.
It was great to have our Assembly Member for Lambeth (Marina Ahmad AM) down in our area today, when we got the chance to raise issues about TfL roads which are causing a danger to pedestrians and cyclists.
These include the narrow pedestrian route alongside the floating bus stop on Harleyford Road
The cycle lane at the top of South Lambeth Road on the Vauxhall gyratory which runs through pedestrian routes
E-bikes dominating the pavement near Vauxhall and Oval station
And finally the lack of proper pedestrian crossings on Kennington Lane & Durham Street, which means pedestrians are making dangerous crossings on a busy road
We will continue to keep the pressure on TfL to make the safety improvements that both pedestrians and cyclists need.

It was great to welcome Emídio Sousa, Secretary of State for the Portuguese Communities Abroad, to Wyvil Primary School and to spend some time in Little Portugal.
At Wyvil, he met pupils and staff and saw the strong sense of community that runs through the school. It was a good opportunity to highlight the contribution Portuguese families make locally and the importance of celebrating heritage alongside education.
We also visited Little Portugal, including the Little Portugal mural opposite the Tate South Lambeth Library on South Lambeth Road. The mural reflects the area’s history and identity, and was made possible through funding from the Mayor of London and Lambeth Council.
It was a positive visit and a chance to showcase a part of Lambeth that many residents value and take pride in. 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇸🇹🇨🇻🇬🇼🇦🇴🇲🇿🇲🇴🇹🇱
