Last Friday, the International Court of Justice found that South Africa’s genocide case is “at least plausible”. While this undermines Israel’s claims to the contrary — bringing the lies of the Western imperialists into sharp relief — this fundamentally changes nothing.

The massacre in Gaza will not be stopped by the stroke of a judges pen. The ‘rules-based order’ has been exposed a dozen times over. And as we have said all along, only a revolutionary struggle across the entire Middle East — an Intifada — points the way forward for the poor and oppressed.

🚩Report from the frontline🚩

Tom from Waterloo reports on the last Palestine national demo:

Comrades from across London came out to the Palestine demo on Saturday and joined hundreds of thousands out on the streets. The mood had not died down, especially after the further escalation by western imperialism with the airstrikes on Yemen.

While the slogan for ‘ceasefire now!’ was being put forward by many in the march, we found that actually when speaking to many protesters that they didn’t believe ceasefire was possible at the present moment and were feeling frustrated at the lack of any change and further escalation despite large numbers turning out. There was a definite anger in the crowd.

Many speakers called on the international community to take action and called for a ceasefire, however the youth were far more in line with the need for action through strikes and many responded well to our slogan of Intifada.

I talked to many young people who had lost hope in the idea that marching would do something, and these young people looked towards the action in the North-East with the blocking of goods in and out of the factory as a way forward for the movement.

Through the march we decided to shout slogans focusing on Yemen like ‘hands off Yemen’ in response to the reckless escalation of western imperialism. Revealing the true intention of the ruling class which was above all to protect trade routes while allowing the murder of tens of thousands of Palestinians.

Comrades circled around the march enthusiastically talking to protestors about the launch of our new paper, The Communist and linked it to all the lies that they hear in the media about Palestine. We managed to sell close to 200 papers, showing the mood amongst the crowd and the hunger for a different solution.

But not only this, we were able to find 30 people who were interested in helping us build the Revolutionary Communist Party, which is clearly needed in Britain today.

We mapped out how to get the most out of it: from recruitment stalls up and down London, to initiatives for our members and readership to more actively contribute. With workers and youth growing sick and tired of the media’s lies, there’s never been a better time to build the workers press. 🚩College student day school - Dec 17 ✊🏽

The mood of anger and frustration continues to grow against the warmongers in Westminster. Mass rallies and demonstrations in support of Palestine have swept the entire country. It is clear that the Tories have completely lost control of the situation. In our thousands, in our millions, we have shown that we do not believe a single word that capitalist politicians have to say on the matter.     

This day school will focus on what imperialism is, how oppressed nationalities can struggle for their freedom, and how college students can get organised and fight back. Join us to discuss how we can struggle for a world free from war and want.
