Children donning green or red, the colours of Palestine, are reported to the school ‘Hate Crime Team’. This is how the British ruling class responds to the mass struggles rocking the country. New bills expand the arsenal of the state to arrest, silence and stop protests. While these bills can only be used selectively at first, the dampening of the strike wave has emboldened the Tories to go on the offensive.

Repression cannot be ignored, it must be fought head-on. The power of a mobilised working class, united around defending democratic rights, is the most effective force to stop Tory terror in its tracks.

First step with our anti-repression campaign today at UCL! We need to broaden it out to other universities and workplaces, and get unions and student groups to fully mobilize to defend democratic rights!

UCL's student occupation in the Jeremy Bentham Room also urgently needs to be defended. While this protest was happening, police showed up to intimidate at the student occupation. We say hands off the occupation! Staff should organize to join and discuss how we can take the movement forward!

In Britain - the Tories' flirting with the far-right threatens to allow them to make a breakthrough on the national level, especially as Starmer shifts even more right. We already see the dangers of this with the murder of Brianna G**y and the jailing of Carla Foster.

How can we make sense of this phenomena? What is necessary to take the struggle to the next level? And why is it that socialist feminism and revolutionary Marxism must be the answer?
