Tonight our Group Leader Cllr Simon Jeal represented Bromley Labour at the launch of Bromley Citizens and their election assembly.
It was fantastic to see students, faith and community groups from across the borough and hear about their priorities on the cost of living, housing, youth mental health and social cohesion.
Labour Councillors are committed to continue engaging to make change across the borough after next week’s elections and Make Bromley Work for Everyone!

A busy evening for local politics last night, with hustings in Shortlands, Penge & St Paul’s Cray.
A huge thanks to the residents groups who organised the events and everyone who attended- Labour candidates were pleased to attend and answer questions from residents on what we would do as local Councillors in the next four years- disappointing that (yet again) Reform candidates didn’t bother to show up!

Bromley has a housing crisis, with thousands of families stuck in poor quality housing.
To help solve the problem, the Government is ending the sell off of social housing and providing £11bn for new social homes

Bromley Council Conservatives closed the welfare fund, cut youth services, forced parents to court to secure SEND support for their children and raised your council tax bills by almost 20%-
This Government have ended the Conservative Government’s two child benefit cap, and helped over 4,500 children across Bromley.

Members of the Labour Group were delighted to attend Bromley Council’s celebration of ahceivement event for looked after children and young people today.
Being corporate parents is one of our most important roles as Councillors, it was amazing to hear some of the stories of how well the young people are doing and see them make such progress each year!
