Union Minister for Foreign Affairs receives the delegation led by Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand
U Tin Maung Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received the delegation led by Mr. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand at 1530 hrs on 28 May 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters relating to the enhancement of existing friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, closer cooperation at regional and international levels, including ASEAN, promoting trade and investment, as well as strengthening collaboration in combating illegal trade and cross-border crimes along the border, and on the environmental conservation.

Myanmar and China sign the Agreement of Cooperation on Projects of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund (2026)

The signing ceremony of the Agreement of Cooperation on Projects of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund (2026) was held on 28 May 2026 at the M-Gallery Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw.
The Agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar in the presence of U Tin Maung Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs. Also present at the ceremony were the Union Ministers and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Ministry of Industry and MSME Development and Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture.
At the ceremony, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Tin Maung Swe delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the significance of the signing ceremony as 2026 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation. He appreciated China for its consistent support to the Mekong countries through the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund (LMCSF). He recognized that the LMCSF has been instrumental in implementing people-centered development projects, and has significantly contributed to the socioeconomic development of the people in the region. Since 2017, Myanmar received 140 projects which value 40.46 million USD. For 2026, Myanmar will implement 8 projects, and these projects will contribute to the country’s efforts in promoting agriculture, energy, environmental conservation and water resource management, MSME development and cultural cooperation.
The Union Minister reaffirmed Myanmar’s commitment to working closely with China and other member countries to promote peace, prosperity, sustainability and inclusive development in the region.
Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, also delivered the remarks.
The Mekong-Lancang Cooperation is a sub-regional cooperation mechanism which was officially launched in 2016 with the aim to promote sustainable and inclusive regional development among six member countries namely Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam.

အဆိုပါ အခမ်းအနားတွင် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီး ဦးတင်မောင်ဆွေ က အဖွင့်အမှာစကား ပြောကြားခဲ့ရာ၌ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်သည် မဲခေါင်-လန်ချန်း ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု ၏ (၁၀)နှစ်ပြည့် နှစ်ပတ်လည်ဖြစ်သည့်အတွက် ယနေ့ကျင်းပသော လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုးပွဲ အခမ်းအနားသည် အရေးပါသော အခမ်းအနားတစ်ခုဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ မဲခေါင်-လန်ချန်း ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်မှု အထူးရန်ပုံငွေ ယန္တရားအောက်မှတစ်ဆင့် မဲခေါင်နိုင်ငံများသို့ အစဉ်တစ်စိုက် ပံ့ပိုး ကူညီခဲ့သည့် တရုတ်ပြည်သူ့သမ္မတနိုင်ငံကို ကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိကြောင်း၊ မဲခေါင်-လန်ချန်း ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်မှု အထူးရန်ပုံငွေစီမံကိန်းများသည် ပြည်သူဗဟိုပြု ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုစီမံကိန်းများကို အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ရာတွင် အရေးပါလှပြီး ဒေသတွင်း ပြည်သူများ၏ လူမှုစီးပွားဘဝ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုကို သိသာထင်ရှားစွာ အထောက်အကူပြုလျက်ရှိကြောင်း၊ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ အနေဖြင့် ၂၀၁၇ ခုနှစ်မှ စတင်၍ အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ (၄၀.၄၆) သန်းကျော်ခန့်တန်ဖိုးရှိ စီမံကိန်း စုစုပေါင်း (၁၄၀)ခုကို ရရှိခဲ့ကြောင်း၊ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်တွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် စိုက်ပျိုးရေး၊ စွမ်းအင်၊ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းမှု၊ ရေအရင်းအမြစ်စီမံခန့်ခွဲမှု၊ MSME ကဏ္ဍ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုနှင့် ယဉ်ကျေးမှုဆိုင်ရာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုစသည့် နယ်ပယ်များကို အထောက်အကူပြုနိုင်မည့် စီမံကိန်း (၈)ခုကို အကောင်အထည်ဖော် ဆောင်ရွက်မည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ထည့်သွင်းပြောကြား ခဲ့သည်။
ဆက်လက်၍ ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီးက မဲခေါင်-လန်ချန်း ဒေသတွင်း ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေး၊ သာယာဝပြောရေး၊ ရေရှည်တည်တံ့ခိုင်မြဲရေးနှင့် အားလုံးပါဝင်နိုင်သော ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုများကို မြှင့်တင်ရန်အတွက် တရုတ်နိုင်ငံနှင့်လည်းကောင်း၊ အခြားသော မဲခေါင်-လန်ချန်း အဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံ များနှင့်လည်းကောင်း နီးကပ်စွာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ ကတိကဝတ်ကို ထပ်လောင်းအတည်ပြုပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။
ထို့နောက် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ တရုတ်ပြည်သူ့သမ္မတနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီး မစ္စမာကျား ကလည်း အမှာစကားပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။
မဲခေါင်-လန်ချန်း ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုသည် ၂၀၁၆ ခုနှစ်တွင် ဒေသတွင်း ရေရှည် တည်တံ့ခိုင်မြဲပြီး အားလုံးပါဝင်သော ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုအတွက် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်ရန် ရည်ရွယ်၍ ကမ္ဘောဒီးယား၊ တရုတ်၊ လာအို၊ မြန်မာ၊ ထိုင်း၊ ဗီယက်နမ် စသော အဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံ (၆) နိုင်ငံဖြင့် ဖွဲ့စည်းခဲ့သည့် ဒေသခွဲပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုဆိုင်ရာ ယန္တရားတစ်ရပ်ဖြစ်သည်။

U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr. Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador of Belarus to Myanmar residence in Hanoi, at 1300 hrs on 28 May 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on further enhancing bilateral engagement through reciprocal visits, implementation of the agreements, closer cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries, strengthening the existing cordial relations, expanding cooperation in various sectors and opening of Belarusian Embassy in Nay Pyi Taw.

Myanmar Delegation Attends 43rd Meeting of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights

The Myanmar Delegation led by H.E. U Nyunt Swe, Representative of Myanmar to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) attended the 43rd Meeting of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights held from 18 to 22 May 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Meeting discussed the follow-up actions to support the implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on the Right to a Safe, Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Environment and the ASEAN Declaration on Promoting the Right to Development and the Right to Peace Towards Realising Inclusive and Sustainable Development.
The AICHR representatives discussed institutional matters, including the development of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework for the implementation of the AICHR Five-Year Work Plan 2026–2030, preparations for the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) Interface with AICHR Representatives, scheduled in July 2026, including the draft Annual Report of AICHR for 2025–2026, and proposed AICHR Priority Programmes/Activities for 2027, the draft Statement of the AICHR Chair to the 59th AMM.
During the 43rd AICHR Meeting, AICHR held its 17th Annual Interface Meeting with the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR). In strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration, AICHR also met with the ASEAN University Network on Human Rights Education (AUN-HRE). Then, AICHR also held its 9th Meetings with Australia and the European Union, its 5th meetings with Japan, and its Second Meetings with Norway and the Republic of Korea respectively, and discussed potential areas of collaboration and recent human rights developments.

5th Myanmar-Philippines Foreign Policy Consultations hold, co-chair by Deputy Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and the Philippines
The 5th Myanmar-Philippines Foreign Policy Consultations co-chaired by U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and Mr. Leo M. Herrera-Lim, Undersecretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, was held at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines on the morning of 18 May 2026.
At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on enhancing diplomatic relations and cooperation, strengthening trade and investment ties, advancing energy cooperation, and combatting transnational crimes, and promoting people-to-people contacts. The discussion further covered Myanmar’s political developments including the key priorities of the newly elected Government and Myanmar’s cooperation to normalize its relations with ASEAN. The two sides exchanged views on regional and global issues such as the ongoing conflict in Middle East and its impact on the region as well as the matters of common interest of both countries.
After the meeting, the Myanmar delegation led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs attended the luncheon hosted by Undersecretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines Mr. Leo M. Herrera-Lim.
On the evening of 18 May 2026, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs visited the Myanmar Embassy in Manila, the Philippines. Following a tour of the Embassy, he met the Embassy staff and gave necessary guidance to them.

အစည်းအဝေးတွင် နှစ်နိုင်ငံသံတမန်ဆက်ဆံရေးနှင့် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုတိုးမြှင့်ရေး၊ ကုန်သွယ်မှုနှင့်ရင်းနှီးမြှုပ်နှံမှုပိုမိုခိုင်မာလာစေရေး၊ စွမ်းအင်ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု မြှင့်တင်ရေးနှင့် နိုင်ငံ ဖြတ်ကျော်မှုခင်းများတိုက်ဖျက်ရေးနှင့် ပြည်သူအချင်းချင်း ထိတွေ့ဆက်ဆံရေးတို့တွင် ပူးပေါင်း ဆောင်ရွက်မှု မြှင့်တင်ရေးဆိုင်ရာကိစ္စရပ်များကို ဆွေးနွေးအမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ မြန်မာအစိုးရ သစ်၏ ဦးစားပေးလုပ်ငန်းစဉ်များ အပါအဝင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏နိုင်ငံရေး ဖြစ်ပေါ်တိုးတက်မှုများ၊ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် အာဆီယံနှင့် ပုံမှန်ဆက်ဆံရေး ပြန်လည်ရရှိရေးအတွက် ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက် လျက်ရှိသည့် အခြေအနေများကို ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြသည်။ ထို့အပြင် လက်ရှိဖြစ်ပွားနေသည့် အရှေ့ အလယ်ပိုင်းပဋိပက္ခနှင့် ဒေသတွင်းသက်ရောက်မှုများကဲ့သို့သော ဒေသတွင်းနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာကိစ္စရပ် များအပြင် နှစ်ဖက်အကျိုးဖြစ်ထွန်းစေမည့် အခြားကိစ္စရပ်များအပေါ် ရင်းနှီးပွင့်လင်းစွာ ဆွေးနွေး အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်ခဲ့ကြသည်။
အစည်းအဝေးအပြီးတွင် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီး ဦးဆောင်သည့် မြန်မာကိုယ်စားလှယ်အဖွဲ့က ဖိလစ်ပိုင်နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီး မစ္စတာ လီယို အမ် ဟာရီရာ လင်းမ် က တည်ခင်းဧည့်ခံသည့် အလုပ်သဘောနေ့လယ်စာစားပွဲသို့ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ ကြသည်။
၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ မေလ ၁၈ ရက် မွန်းလွဲပိုင်းတွင် ဒုတိယဝန်ကြီးသည် ဖိလစ်ပိုင်နိုင်ငံ၊ မနီလာမြို့ရှိ မြန်မာသံရုံး၌ သံရုံးဝန်ထမ်းများနှင့် တွေ့ဆုံကာ လိုအပ်သည်များကို လမ်းညွှန်မှာကြားခဲ့သည်။

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attends the 32nd ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Consultation and the 26th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Meeting on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea

Myanmar delegation led by U Hau Khan Sum, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the 32nd ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Consultation (32nd ACSOC) and the 26th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Meeting on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (26th SOM-DOC) held on 21st May 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At the 32nd ACSOC, the Senior Officials reviewed and discussed future direction of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and preparations for the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference (PMC) with China in July and the 29th ASEAN-China Summit in November as well as regional and international issues. During the 26th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Meeting, the Senior Officials exchanged views on the implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and the ongoing negotiation on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC).

(၃၂) ကြိမ်မြောက် အာဆီယံ-တရုတ်အဆင့်မြင့်အရာရှိကြီးများဆွေးနွေးပွဲတွင် အာဆီယံ- တရုတ်ဘက်စုံမဟာဗျူဟာမြောက်မိတ်ဖက်ဆက်ဆံရေး၏ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုအခြေအနေများ နှင့် အနာဂတ်အလားအလာများ၊ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇွန်လတွင် ကျင်းပမည့် အာဆီယံ-တရုတ် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးများအစည်းအဝေးနှင့် နိုဝင်ဘာလတွင် ကျင်းပမည့် (၂၉) ကြိမ်မြောက် အာဆီယံ-တရုတ်ထိပ်သီးအစည်းအဝေးတို့အတွက် ကြိုတင်ပြင်ဆင်မှုများအပြင် ဒေသတွင်းနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာရေးရာကိစ္စရပ်များအပေါ် ဆွေးနွေးအမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ အလားတူ တောင်တရုတ်ပင်လယ်တွင် နိုင်ငံများလိုက်နာရမည့် လုပ်ထုံးလုပ်နည်းဆိုင်ရာကြေညာချက် အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ရေးနှင့် စပ်လျဉ်းသည့် (၂၆) ကြိမ်မြောက် အာဆီယံ-တရုတ်အဆင့်မြင့် အရာရှိကြီးများအစည်းအဝေးတွင် တောင်တရုတ်ပင်လယ်တွင် နိုင်ငံများလိုက်နာရမည့် လုပ်ထုံး လုပ်နည်းဆိုင်ရာကြေညာချက် (DOC) အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ဆောင်ရွက်နေမှုအခြေအနေ များ နှင့် လက်ရှိညှိနှိုင်းဆောင်ရွက်နေသည့် တောင်တရုတ်ပင်လယ်ဆိုင်ရာကျင့်ထုံး (COC) ၏ ဖြစ်ပေါ်တိုးတက်မှုအခြေအနေများအပေါ် ဆွေးနွေးအမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။

Foreign Ministers of Myanmar and Malaysia hold Bilateral Meeting
U Tin Maung Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, met with Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia who was on a working visit to Nay Pyi Taw, at MGallery Hotel on 19 May 2026. The Union Minister also hosted a working lunch to the Foreign Minister of Malaysia and his delegation.
During the meeting, the two Foreign Ministers cordially discussed matters relating to enhancement of relations between Myanmar and Malaysia at the bilateral level and in the context of ASEAN. They exchanged views on promotion of existing cooperation in the areas of mutual interests.
The Malaysian delegation arrived in Nay Pyi Taw by a special flight on the afternoon of 19 May 2026 and was welcomed by U Naing Min Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon arrival at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport. The delegation departed for Malaysia on the evening of the same day.

နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ ပြည်ထောင်စုဝန်ကြီး ဦးတင်မောင်ဆွေသည် ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်၊ မေလ ၁၉ ရက်တွင် နေပြည်တော်သို့ အလုပ်သဘောခရီးစဉ် ရောက်ရှိနေသည့် မလေးရှားနိုင်ငံခြားရေး ဝန်ကြီး ဒါတို ဆရီ ဥတမ ဟာဂျီ မိုဟာမက် ဘင် ဟာဂျီ ဟာဆန် ဦးဆောင်သည့် ကိုယ်စားလှယ် အဖွဲ့နှင့် တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ပြီး MGallery Hotel ၌ အလုပ်သဘောနေ့လယ်စာဖြင့် တည်ခင်းဧည့်ခံ ခဲ့သည်။
