সারাদেশে ইন্টারনেট ও টেলিযোগাযোগ বন্ধ রেখে কোটা সংস্কারের ন্যায্য দাবীতে আন্দোলনরত শিক্ষার্থীদের উপর সারারাত নির্মম ক্র্যাকডাউন চালানোর পরেও আজও এই কোমলমতি শিক্ষার্থীরা বিভিন্ন স্থানে আন্দোলনে নেমেছে। অন্যদিকে এই আন্দোলনকে রাজনৈতিক রঙ দিতে পুলিশের কিছু অতি উৎসাহী সদস্য স্বৈরাচারী হাসিনার নির্দেশ বাস্তবায়নে বিএনপি’র সিনিয়র যুগ্ম-মহাসচিব এ্যাডভোকেট রুহুল কবির রিজভী সহ বহু বিএনপি নেতা-কর্মী ও ছাত্র-জনতাকে গ্রেফতার করেছে।

আমি বাংলাদেশে অবস্থিত বিএনপি সহ গনতন্ত্রের পক্ষের সকল রাজনৈতিক দলের নেতা-কর্মী এবং সাধারণ মানুষকে এই বর্বর হানাদার বাহিনীর হাত থেকে কোমলমতি শিক্ষার্থীদের পাশে থেকে তাদের সকল প্রকার সহযোগিতা করার জন্য এবং এই আন্দোলনকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য আহবান জানাচ্ছি। আপনাদের সকল শক্তি দিয়ে ছাত্র-জনতার এই আন্দোলনকে সফল করুন। পাপের ভারে ন্যুব্জ হাসিনা এবং তার দুর্নীতিবাজ ও মনবাধিকার বিরোধী সহযোগীদের পতন অনিবার্য।

Despite the brutal crackdown throughout the night on students protesting for fair reforms of the quota system, with internet and telecommunications shut down across the country, these tender-hearted students have continued their protests in various locations today. Meanwhile, some overly enthusiastic members of the police, in implementing the orders of the autocratic Hasina, have arrested many BNP leaders, activists, and student protesters, including the BNP's Senior Joint Secretary General, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, in an attempt to give political colour to this movement.

I call upon all leaders, activists, and common people of the pro-democracy political parties, including the BNP, in Bangladesh to stand by these tender-hearted students, provide them with all support, and carry this movement forward. Use all your strength to make this student-led movement successful. The fall of Hasina, weighed down by her sins, and her corrupt and anti-human rights associates, is inevitable.

নির্মমতা কতদূর হলে জাতি হবে নির্লজ্জ⁉️

On this day in 1971, Major Ziaur Rahman declared the independence of Bangladesh, setting the course for a free and liberated nation. Hence, every 26th March, Bangladeshis across the world celebrate Independence Day, embodying our identity as proud citizens of the sovereign land.

My commitment to a democratic Bangladesh is deeply rooted in the sacrifices of my father and other valiant freedom fighters, who shed their blood to secure our nation’s independence. However, after 53 years, the ideals of the Liberation War – equality, human dignity, and social justice – and the overarching goal to uphold voting rights, human rights, freedom of expression, and the rule of law – have been decimated by the fascist Sheikh Hasina regime.

At this crossroads, Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP, founded by the proclaimer of Bangladesh’s independence, Ziaur Rahman, stands steadfast in preserving the founder’s legacy. Our ongoing struggle is to restore the essence of independence for all Bangladeshis, by reinstating democracy, public rights, and fundamental freedoms.

We firmly believe that, just as in 1971, the victory of pro-democracy people is inevitable, even in the face of state-sponsored violence and repression. Together, let’s embark on a collective journey towards a Bangladesh that resonates with the enduring spirit of our heroic sacrifices.

২৫ মার্চ কালরাত ও স্বেচ্ছায় কারাবরণের ইতিহাস।

মুজিব কাকু আব্বুকে বললেন, 'বাড়ি গিয়ে নাকে তেল দিয়ে ঘুমিয়ে থাকো, পরশুদিন (২৭ মার্চ) হরতাল ডেকেছি।'

এদিকে বেগম মুজিব ঐ শোবার ঘরেই সুটকেসে মুজিব কাকুর জামাকাপড় ভাঁজ করে রাখতে শুরু করলেন। ঢোলা পায়জামায় ফিতা ভরলেন। পাকিস্তানি সেনার হাতে মুজিব কাকুর স্বেচ্ছাবন্দি হওয়ার এইসব প্রস্তুতি।

মুজিব ভাই, বাঙালি জাতির অবিসংবাদিত নেতা হলেন আপনি। আপনার নেতৃত্বের ওপরই তারা সম্পূর্ণ ভরসা করে রয়েছে। মুজিব কাকু বললেন, "তোমরা যা করবার কর”

আব্বু স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণা লিখে নিয়ে এসেছিলেন এবং টেপ রেকর্ডারও নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। টেপে বিবৃতি দিতে বা স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণায় স্বাক্ষর প্রদানে মুজিব কাকু অস্বীকৃতি জানান।

মুজিব কাকু তখন উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন, "এটা আমার বিরুদ্ধে দলিল হয়ে থাকবে। এর জন্য পাকিস্তানিরা আমাকে দেশদ্রোহের জন্য বিচার করতে পারবে।”

মুজিব কাকুকে আত্মগোপন বা স্বাধীনতা ঘোষণায় রাজি করাতে না পেরে রাত নয়টার কিছু পরে আব্বু ঘরে ফিরলেন বিক্ষুদ্ধ চিত্তে।

সাবেক ছাত্রলীগ নেতা জবি'র সহকারী প্রক্টর দ্বীন ইসলাম ও তাঁর সহযোগী আম্মান সিদ্দিকী এর মানসিক অত্যাচারে আত্মহত্যা করেছেন জগন্নাথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইন বিভাগের ২০১৭-১৮ শিক্ষা বর্ষের অবন্তিকা।

“বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী ছাত্রদল” অবিলম্বে অভিযুক্ত সন্ত্রাসীদের আইনের আওতায় এনে সঠিক তদন্তের মাধ্যমে বিচারের দাবি জানায়।
