🤝 Partnering for a Fairer London

At Action West London, we are proud to work with the Greater London Authority (GLA) to deliver a superb back-to-work programme. Action Inclusive Talent aims to start tackling labour market inequality and ensuring that "employment" means more than just a paycheque—it means a Good Job.

🎯 Who we are supporting
Our mission is to help people from London’s most underrepresented communities find sustainable careers. We are focusing our efforts on groups that face higher unemployment rates and systemic barriers:

• Young Black men (16–24) & Older Black men (50+)
• Black women
• Pakistani and Bangladeshi women

We also provide dedicated support for disabled individuals and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds within these groups to help overcome overlapping disadvantages.

💼 What defines a "Good Job"?

We believe everyone deserves fair and stable work. For our programmes, a Good Job must meet these standards:

• London Living Wage: Pays at least the London Living Wage.
• Stability: At least 16 hours per week with no zero-hours contracts.
• Sustainability: A role that lasts for at least 12 weeks.
• Opportunity: Ideally based in one of London’s growing industries.

🚀 Key sectors for new careers

We are connecting people with opportunities in London’s most vibrant industries, including:

• 🏗️ Construction (including Green Construction)
• 💻 Digital, Technology & Life Sciences
• 🎨 Creative & Cultural Industries
• 🏦 Financial & Professional Services
• 🏥 Health & Social Care
• 📦 Transport & Logistics
• ☕ Hospitality

Congratulations to all the participants of our first ever accredited Level Electrical fixing wokshop!

AWL operations manager Craig Winters said;

“Seeing our first Level 1 cohort take place was an incredibly proud moment for the West London community. The energy in the room and the sheer success of this day prove that moving from informal workshops to accredited Level 1 and Level 2 courses is exactly what our residents wanted. Today is not just about celebrating the massive achievement of these graduates; it is about proving that we have a successful, scalable model for technical education, waste reduction and building sustainable careers right here in our neighbourhood.
