Empowering Young Muslim Women in Digital Innovation!

A huge congratulations to the incredible Muslim girls from The Friendship Café who have successfully completed the DiversITy-talent program!

These young women worked tirelessly to develop digital solutions that tackle mental health challenges faced by Muslim teenage girls due to the pressures of social media. Their project, Unfiltered Minds, was a thoughtful and impactful initiative designed to foster positive online experiences and promote well-being.

Throughout the program, they gained a wealth of digital and business skills, including:

These young trailblazers, selected as 2024 Diversity Talent awardees, stood confidently alongside distinguished leaders, diplomats, and advocates. Their courage and insights lit up the room, proving once again that the next generation is not only ready to lead but to 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 what leadership means.💡

We’re 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 to announce a campaign that’s at the heart of our mission here at Diversity Talent.

In today’s 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 world, tech skills are essential for success across all industries. Yet, 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 from diverse backgrounds lack access to the resources and support they need to unlock their full potential.

That’s why we’ve set an 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹: to 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 10,000 𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 from marginalised communities, including youth offenders, individuals from low-income backgrounds, girls in tech, and people with disabilities.

Our 12-𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗘 goes beyond just teaching coding. We’re offering 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in real-world problem-solving, connecting participants with 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, and providing 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. It’s about opening doors and creating opportunities that have been 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 for far too long.

To make this vision a reality, we’ve launched a JustGiving campaign to raise £𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎. Every contribution, no matter the size, will 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 and help reshape the UK’s tech landscape.
