Today Nicole, the children's librarian at West Norwood Library ran another hugely successful Chatterbooks club (for 7-11yr olds). The theme was poetry and the children showed us how creative they are by the poems they wrote. The poems are displayed in the children's library for you to read. But here is an example of one of them. 🙂

A little sapling plant has been left here at the library. We have been looking after it but it really should go back to its owner who has so carefully planted it. We think it's a tomato plant but it won't bear any fruit in these wee pots! So if Theo, whoever you may be, is out there please come and collect your plants, they need you! 🍅

A huge thank you to all the organisations and facilitators who took part and helped make the day meaningful, supportive, and uplifting for our community.
We’re delighted to share the video from our Library’s Wellbeing Event, held on Saturday 22 November.
We also want to give a special shout-out to the local shops who generously donated cakes for our # . Thanks to your kindness— and the wonderful generosity of our community— we were able to raise valuable funds for an important cause.
Your support made this event a true success. Thank you!

Clara, our local champion, also dropped in to chat about the Imperial College research project on local air quality… because fresh air is the ultimate luxury.
Who knew healthy ageing and healthy air could be this entertaining?

A young boy called Josiah came into the library on Tuesday with a big smile and a little book in his hand. He presented the book to me with great pride and his mum said 'Josiah asked to come to the library as he wanted to bring you the book he made'. It was very heartwarming and such a delight to be given the book he took so much time to make! It really made my day, thank you Josiah!
