Modern homes and care on Carlton Vale: new Barrie Taylor House set to open as Westminster Labour delivers for resident - Westminster Labour Councillors A major new development in Maida Vale is nearing completion, delivering modern homes and care facilities for Westminster residents. The redevelopment of the former Carlton Dene care home site on Carlton Vale will provide 65 new extra-care homes for older people, alongside 22 new family-sized council...

It was great to visit Barrie Taylor House on Carlton Vale in Maida Vale today and see that the flats are almost ready. There will be 65 council flats for older people who can live independently but who need support to manage. All the care will be provided in house and there is also a great cafe in the building to serve both the residents and the local community. And 22 general needs council flats as well. All the flats are decorated to a high standard - an example of a wheelchair accessible flat below.

It was lovely to help open the accessible equipment in Pad Rec. Very important that our playgrounds facilitate access for kids with disabilities
