Special Ambulance Transfer Service Ltd (SATS) is a leading independent ambulance service, providing a specialist, more focused service for the transfer of High Dependency and Critical Care patients within both the public and private healthcare sectors, along with tailored solutions for non-emergency transfers, repatriations and event medical cover.
SATS operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to anywhere across the UK and mainland Europe.
Founded in 2006, SATS has become internationally recognised as providing a professional service built upon highly qualified, multi-disciplinarily teams and custom designed, fully equipped vehicles. As a privately owned company, we continue to promote our core values of exceeding the minimum requirements of inter-hospital transport as set out by the Intensive Care Society.
SATS is comprehensively insured and maintains links with a number of governing bodies and training providers to ensure that all aspects of critical care legislation, developments and practices are adhered to.
SATS is regulated by the Care Quality Commission and is compliant with all required standards.
