A special acknowledgment goes to Lord Vernon Coaker for his insightful and gracious remarks, along with his ongoing leadership in strengthening the Azerbaijan-UK strategic partnership. We do appreciated the presence of Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who enriched our gathering.
The highlight of the evening was AISEL’s stunning performance. Thank you, AISEL, for making the event even more special!

‼️WOMEN EMPOWER WOMEN‼️
The recent gathering of the Azerbaijani community in the UK was an inspiring event, held on May 24, 2026, at the Hilton London Kensington. It brought together members of the diaspora, local clubs, and organizations dedicated to fostering connections and supporting Azerbaijani culture abroad.
Event Highlights:
- A Warm Welcome: A heartfelt acknowledgment was given to the diaspora clubs, the Diaspora Committee, and the Embassy of Azerbaijan for their continuous support in organizing various events that strengthen community ties.
- Cultural Performance: A standout moment of the evening was the performance by the talented musicians including Vusala Babayeva and Emiliya Yagubova. Both are members of association. The event was closed by Emin Eminzada and Vusala Babayeva performing together legendary “Azerbaijan” composition. The Karabagh choir performed variety of the national songs and Tərəkkəmə dance.
- Community Engagement: The event served as a platform for networking, celebrating Azerbaijani culture, and fostering a sense of belonging among community members.

The Azerbaijani Women’s Association in the UK (AWAUK), established in 2017, has been actively involved in supporting and participating in numerous events organized by the Embassy and other diaspora clubs. AWAUK plays a crucial role in promoting Azerbaijani culture, heritage, and unity within the community.

Additionally, one of the school’s teachers and founders delighted us with a performance on a traditional Azerbaijani instrument, enriching our cultural experience.
